We do the chores, so you don't have to. We can do a large array of lawn care from mowing, weed eating, leaf blowing, aerating, and even irrigating. Plus anything else you would like to add. We can plant gardens, build gardens, make your home look nice overall with some good hard work into those weeds. We work diligently and professionally. We can also pack and move boxes and furniture from one place to another.

Harbison Electric has been providing Austin Certified Master Electrician Services for Commercial and Residential Install Upgrade Replacement Repair Maintenance Design Services. If you are in need of rewiring or electrical repairs, then call us.

"Bottom line: Shane is disorganized, not as experienced as he claims, and unprofessional in his response to criticism. He seems like a nice enough guy but I will never use him again and I would advise anyone that continues to use him (as my friend who referred me to him is doing) that you should only use him for basic simple stuff and know that he has poor follow through. I used him July 2020 to install recessed lighting on the first floor of my 2 story house. It was only after drilling four holes in the ceiling that Shane realized he could not connect the wires because of the jousts set every 2 feet apart in my ceiling. He remarked that he had never seen a house like mine where I had beams going across every 2 feet. (something I later found out if farily common and shows his lack of experience). He said he would do some research and get back to me. Meanwhile, I asked for a second opinion by the electrician contracted by the home builder. He told me that if Shane had gone up in the attic, (whicch he never did), he would have realized that I had jousts set every 2 feet and would have then known, up front, that he was going to have to make more holes in the ceiling. The second electrician told me that I would need a minimum of six additional holes to complete my lighting project. When Shane finally got back to me, he said he had a friend who did dry wall and would reduce his cost for me and that I would need only 3 additional holes that needed repair. I told Shane that I find that hard to believe when the contracted builder's electrician said a minimum of 6 more holes. I told him that I would be willing to continue with him if he could guaranteee that only 3 more holes were needed and he would pay additional cost if more holes were needed. I never heard back from him. Meanwhile I had 4 recessed lights that were decorative in my ceiling but no function. One of the holes was up against the joust so that I could not rest the recessed light flush against the ceiling so Shane's work had a slightly unfinished look, never mind not functional. I called Shane twice and left a message. I spoke to a business colleague of his who referred me to him and told her that Shane was unprofessional but if he was not going to charge me, then I would not complain. I just assumed he felt guilty regarding his inexperience and the fact that I was referred by a mutual friend. Fast forward, ONE YEAR LATER! Shane calls to tell me that his receptionist was going over his books and found several unpaid invoices. I told Shane that I never received an invoice and that he ghosted me. He told me that he never received my calls and I said that does not explain why he would not call to complete his work. He argued that I told him that I did not want him to complete the work. I said this is a case of he said, she said and given that this happened ONE YEAR AGO, both of our memories could be off. He insisted he sent an invoice. I said I never received an invoice and he called me a liar so I told him to find the email he sent me and resend it. He insisted that if I wanted him to finish the job he would come back and do it so he could get paid. I said that I did not like our conversation and was not planning to ever use him again. He called me cheap. In the end, I paid him for the minor work he did with GFCI outlets and wall timer switches and we agreed he would not bill me for the ceiling work. I could write off his lack of experience and even his lack of organization but I draw the line at his unprofessional ghosting, his name calling and his general lack of willingness to accept his own culpability."

For over 25 years Rigdon, Inc has been providing homeowners the best quality cleaning and maintenance services. Our professional technicians provide fast, friendly service - and we back our work with a satisfaction or money back guarantee. Free estimates and no travel charges within our service area. Call us or email: [email protected].

"Found them through Groupon but called directly to Rigdon description of services. So glad I did! They have specials direct on their own website and honored a price match on the groupon. We have a large house with a LOT of windows and french doors. The pricing was MORE than fair and the work was excellent! The technician was on time, very professional and hard working. Did a fantastic job! Our windows are 22 yrs old, so my expectation was to 'just get the big chunks off', but Devon's work was totally above and beyond! Our windows and screens look like new! We are in the NW Austin area, so request that DEVON get sent to your home too. You will not regret it!"

Holiday Decorating questions, answered by experts

You now know you can hang Christmas lights with adhesive hooks, but if you need alternatives, consider pushpins, tacks, staples, and adhesive putty (for small projects). If you have a drop ceiling, look for clips and hooks designed for the metal framing.

If you are hosting a large party this year or have staged your home for potential buyers, having a professionally-decorated tree can make a big impact. Christmas tree decorating services can also be more than worth it if you're unable to reach the top of your tree and need assistance with precarious ladder work.

Between seasons, inspect cords for damage, replace burnt-out bulbs, and clean lighting fixtures to prevent dirt buildup. Proper storage in cool, dry conditions will extend the lights' lifespan and minimize repairs or replacements when redeployed.

Yes, you can plug outdoor lights into an extension cord, but it must be one rated for outdoor use. This method will allow you to hang Christmas lights outside your house or yard by connecting it to an outdoor power source. Be sure to purchase and use an outdoor-only extension cord.

You can tackle hanging Christmas lights yourself with the right tools, accessories, and a trusted friend or neighbor. You’ll need to purchase a ladder ($100 to $300), clips ($10 to $20), hooks ($10 to $15), and lights ($25 to $100 per string).

Otherwise, you should hire a trusted holiday light installer near you. You’ll pay an average price of $200 to $650, but you’ll have peace of mind knowing that the job is done correctly and safely.
