"Rebath is AWESOME! They remodeled my 24 yr old bathrooms (2 full baths, one 1/2 bath). Iâ m very pleased with their work and outstanding customer service. My design specialist Garon Tidwell was great. Heâ s very knowledgeable and understanding of my needs. Arnold Quintanilla was my installer and he was fantastic! His work was perfect! He showed up on time, explained things, cleaned up after he left and was very respectful of my wishes and time especially given I take care of my elderly mom and special needs son. He takes pride in his work and its shows. Gustavo was my shower glass installer. He was great too. His knowledge about the glass and measurements were spot on. He also did a fantastic job on my shower. Lastly, Michaela was my account support. She made me aware of things, called to check on things, and made sure I was aware at all times. She answered when I called and called me back right away if I left a message. So overall Iâ m very happy with my experience and the workmanship of Rebath. I will definitely use them again for any future needs!"

Remodel Design questions, answered by experts

When planning a general remodeling project, it's important to define the scope of work, understand your goals, and set a clear, detailed budget. You should also assess the current structure and consult with professionals like architects or contractors. Create a realistic timeline for each phase, obtain any necessary permits, and build in contingency plans for potential delays or unforeseen issues. Regular communication with all involved parties is crucial to streamline the process.

When you think about Arts and Crafts-style homes, you probably think of a Craftsman house or a bungalow-style Craftsman. Craftsman is one of the major styles developed during the Arts and Crafts movement, but it checks most boxes. Craftsman houses have low-pitched roofs, exposed rafters, open floor plans, and stunning wood finish.

Universal design is a design concept that states that products, spaces, and general environments are designed to be used by everyone, with an emphasis on accessibility for those with limited mobility or other special needs.

How long it takes to build an in-law suite will vary by type. The time it takes to build an addition will typically be less than for completely new construction. Expect to spend about two months if you convert a basement, attic, or other existing room in your home. New structures can take up to five months, plus up to two months to receive the required permits.

It is technically possible to draw your own blueprints, but the process is extremely involved and really demands help from an expert. A professional architect has an understanding of design elements, interior design, the functionality of different rooms in a home, and how everything from furniture, outlets, and light switches should be laid out to serve you and your family best. Hiring an architect for blueprints can get expensive, but it’s the most responsible way to begin a new construction project. If you’re keen on DIYing, you could consider starting the process and then having a professional take over.
