"Zach P. did an amazing job. I had a bathtub to walk-in shower conversion installed. He showed up on time and clearly explained what was going to happen that day. He listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. He informed me of all his findings during the install and informed me of some of the challenges that he ran into because of the the original build of the house. I was concerned that they stated they could install this in one day. I was impressed with the detailed on the install and the preparation did the walls. Even the plumbing that had to be rerouted was do professional and i fell will last forever. I would use WestShore and Zach in a heart beat."

"We've had several technicians come over in the past, but none could find or fix the leak in our unit. We had a lot of short term fixes, but it was costing us too much in the long run. Luckily, we found 3C and they found the leak no one else could find! You saved us money & our Husky Mix thanks you!"

"A step n'shower was installed in one 12 hour day. Installers were professional, worked to remove tub and then install an excellent step-in shower. Safety features were a special issue for me at age 82. When a question arose then following day, the installers returned that very day and checked on their work. The slight problem was not due to their installment and they advised me as to the next step. I am thoroughly satisfied."

"I had called everyone that might help me fix my dishwasher...pumped the septic, snaked the main sewer line, called appliance repair, replaced the heating element, verified that the drain hose went from high to low; my dishwasher was still back flowing scrud onto my clean dishes at random times. Signed up with Neli, and had the answer to my problem in 15 minutes. James F gave me the part number for replacement and wa-laa, I’m waiting for it to come in the mail. I am very impressed and will use this service again as needed."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Older faucet fixtures may have some corrosion, leaving them stuck. Try a few techniques to loosen the fixtures.

  • Wrap the fixture with a towel and tap the base with a hammer.

  • Use a putty knife to gently remove any caulk that may be holding the handle or fixture in place.

  • Apply a few drops of penetrating oil around the base of the fixture or around the nuts.

  • Purchase a faucet pulling tool to pop the fixture loose.

To create a siphon break and remove any chance of dirty sink water or water that backs up into the sink from getting into your dishwasher, your dishwasher drain hose needs to have a high loop or an air gap device as part of its installation. All building codes require at least a high loop. In many places, it’s necessary to install an air gap device to meet the code.

Yes, hydro jetting can potentially damage pipes, particularly if they are old or weakened. The high-pressure water can be too abrasive for fragile pipes, potentially causing cracks or breaks. For this reason, it is highly recommended to have a professional evaluate the condition of your pipes before the procedure. However, for newer pipes made from materials like PVC, which is common for sewer lines, hydro jetting is generally considered safe.

You can use a stud finder or wall scanner to detect plumbing behind a wall. A stud finder can help detect metal plumbing pipes. Or, you can use a wall scanner, a special tool that many pros use to detect pipes when water is running. Make sure a faucet is on nearby to get the water flowing before you fire up the wall scanner.

When positioning a pot filler, it should be mounted at a height that allows for convenient access without obstructing the cooking area. A general guideline is to place it 18 to 24 inches above the stove. For a more customized height, measure your most-used pots and install the filler 5 to 10 inches above your tallest one. Regarding horizontal placement, while centering the pot filler can be aesthetically pleasing and ensure it reaches all burners, it is often safer to install it to the left or right of the cooking surface. This placement helps you avoid reaching over a hot stove and reduces the risk of the filler itself getting hot from a large boiling pot. If you do choose to center it, be careful to avoid burns.
