My drains were completely blocked the first time I called, and they needed to snake the lines. A week later there was another blockage, but by the time they arrived it had cleared by itself. They checked the drains and added a strong acid to the clean-out pipe as an added precaution to dissolve anything that might cause another blockage. I wasn’t charged for the second service call, but I was advised that if it should clog again in the near future, they recommend sending a camera through the pipes to visualize the problem. I’m pleased with my experience with The Plumber and will recommend them to others."

"Called Lifeline to find a leak in wall behind the fridge. Discovered it was an improperly capped feedline to the icemaker outlet for fridge. They replaced the cap and stopped the leak. We discovered the the house had in the floor main water feed lines, and the plumber had to knock out holes in several places before he found the line leading to the icemaker line. But after all that, he chose to not cut the line and cap it there.
So he made a mess trying to find the leak and a solution, did fix it, but cost me another couple hundred to get a handy man in to fix the drywall holes.
But really bothered me was he kept pitching to me to re-plumb the entire house as the lines were old and being in the concrete slab was going to continue to be a problem, even after I politely told him it was not a solution I was interested in right now. Didn't take no for an answer.

I called their office around 1pm today because I noticed that my water heater was badly corroded and leaking into the safety pan. I chose them because they had good yelp reviews compared to some other companies that do more marketing. The young woman Morgan, that took my call was very professional and told me that someone could come out between 2-5pm. I also called another company, Texas Master Plumber, to get a quote because they were rated highly on Angie's List. Of course, they both show up with 15 mins of each other. Initially, TMP shows up to the wrong house and their secretary calls me to ask why I'm not there. I walk outside and see them halfway down the block. TMP winds up giving me a quote that is $200 more for a less reputable brand water heater than Smart Choice Plumbers. I was also very impressed they wore shoe covers out of respect for my floors and were able to install it the same day. From the time I made the first call to the time they left after completing the installation, it was 4 hours. That is very impressive!! The installation was installed up to the latest plumbing codes and I could tell Carlos was very knowledgeable. It is obvious he enjoys what he does based on his very professional like workmanship.

"I had already purchased this before hand and when I spoke with him on the phone to arrange the appointment I asked if I purchased the same components for the two other toilet tanks that we hand on the home whether they would be able to install those and if they thought that it would be within their time limits and they said, yes they thought they would. The best part of it was the value of the deal, we got a lot of work done and it was done quite well for the price. The job was well done. There wasn't quite as much attention to detail as we might have liked, but it wasn't bad. When they connected the release valve that goers from the dish washer to above the sink there is a thing that helps the dish washer drain and that's also connected to the waste disposal, it didn't get tightened up quite as securely as it was prior to that. So it was kind of loose, and I had to end up getting under the sink and tightening that fully myself."

"DAV Construction was hired to replace a damaged roof and gutters. They did a professional job of discussing the bid with me. However, this was more than a roofing job. I had an issue with water seeping through my second floor brick that continued to damage my interior and patio cover. We all thought it was a poor trim installation. Alex took a hard core position of helping me correct the problem. We had to repair any openings in the existing brick and applied a water sealant. I even had a phone call several months later after a heavy rain storm to see if we had any visible leaks. All was good and the extra effort was was high on the scale of taking care of the customer. I would personally recommend Alex and his team to anyone."

"This was the smoothest part of the project. Roberto was very professional and knowledgeable during the stone selection process. Led me to a great looking stone selection and it looks great installed. He took the time to do it right and was very engaged with me the whole time."

"There were good and not so good points with this job. On the good side - Joe was flexible with the schedule when I had a family emergency come up when I originally planed the install. Ended up having to do the job post Harvey and Joe completed the job. Very responsive to my requests The granite install was done well but did take 8 hours. Had problems with the sink install And the bad parts 1. Bid was not clear Did not list bid was for prefab granite on initial bid Included misleading statements regarding the plumbing staffing. The quote stated "The Plumbing will be done by a plumber recommended by builder, And not staffed or employed by builder". When the guy who installed the tile started to plumb the sink back in, I questioned Joe if they guy was a plumber. Said no but he was very good and he trusted him. Told me if I wanted a plumber, he could tell the guy to stop and I could go get one for twice the price. I am not disputing the the guy might be great, the point was that is not what the quote stated. 2. The overall quality of the job. Missed grout on window sills. Grout smears on the paint Poor cuts on back splash and grout around window sill Messy including leaving grout stains on side of house and drive way somewhere along the way a number of pencil trim pieces I furnished got lost (they were not used and were not left over) . 3. Communication. texts and emails were often hard to understand. Misspelled words and words that made no sense in the sentence. We had a number of misunderstandings along the way. By the way, when I let Joe know that I planned to give him a C for all the small things that added up he asked me to not bother leaving a review at all. Based on the other reviews, it looks like others have had very positive experiences with Joe so mine may have just been an odd situation. In any case, we clearly had a difference of opinion on the expectation of what a good job is."

"I had already taken the trap off of the piping under the sink and cleaned it out, that didn't fix the clog. Since I realized the clog was somewhere in the pipes behind the wall, I knew I needed professional help. On a Friday morning, I called several places... some of which told me they couldn't get to me until the following Tuesday, others put me on hold when I called, and most were just generally unhelpful which made me decide not to use them. I saw JR Plumbing had an A rating on Angies so I thought I'd give them a try. The owner answered the phone immediately and was able to answer questions and was able to fit me into his schedule within less than 24 hrs. When he arrived he put covers on his shoes and (with no prompting from me) was respectful of my wood floors and carried his necessary equipment instead of rolling it through my house. He was professional, polite and very reasonably priced. If I have plumbing issues in the future, I will definitely give JR Plumbing a call again."
