"We had a fantastic experience working with Adrian Amezquita with Maz Contractor Services. We obtained multiple quotes for the work but they were competitive and could handle the variety of work we were looking to do. They did a complete bathroom model on both our master (new shower glass, granite counter, and a new coating of epoxy on the tub which made it look brand new) and guest (complete demo of tub/shower replaced by walk-in with ceramic tile, glass doors, and sea glass accents, new quartz countertop) bathrooms, Adrian helped with design advice and we couldn't be happier with the end product. Adrian's crew also performed interior paint in both our kitchen and master bedroom (in addition to painting both bathrooms), but probably the most impressive piece of work is the transition of a lattice door overhang in the back, they framed it in solid, shingled it, and you can't even tell it wasn't original with the house. Throughout the whole process, Adrian kept in constant communication. He would text us to let us know who was coming when and what work was expected to take place. The entire job only took about two weeks. Overall, we were very pleased and would absolutely use them again and highly recommend! Grand total at the end of the job $15,800."

"Mr. Guadarrama was very professional. He quoted us a price and explained exactly what was involved in the repair. Showed up at the designated time set and completed the job in time frame stated. The work looks great extremely satisfied. I need more work done on my home and will definitely be using this company again. I highly recommend them."

"Mr. Vasquez came to the house for an estimate. He sat down with us & asked for as many details as possible. He gently offered advise when we were unsure of an answer. He got us an estimate in a very timely manner. We had 2 other contractors come out for an estimate. J & D was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. We did feel that the price was a little steep at the time. (the end result went above & beyond the price) When we decided to go with them, he stayed in contact with me & came to the sight daily. During the construction, I decided to add crown molding & other detail molding on the walls, as well as painting. Mr. Vasquez did not blink an eye, he graciously called in his painter & completed the request. The project took less than a week to complete (even with the add on's). My house was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. The completed shelves look as if they were constructed with the house. The gutters were a must with the rain & elevation of the new built house. The price was slightly lower than other bids we had gotten. My husband said his only regret was that we didn't find J & D before we built our house, that we would have had them build the entire house. I simply could not be more please with the outcome. Every employee was incredibly nice, and professional. The cabinet doors on the book shelves were custom made & the detail is flawless. I honestly can not say enough about this company. It was worth every single penny, and then some! We will be using them again for other projects around the house. I know I will not be disappointed."

"Back in November 2024, my husband and I discussed remodeling the kitchen to something brighter and more spacious. The brown cabinets made the kitchen look dark and dreary. After meeting with several contractors, we hired Tell Projects. We met with Adrianna who listened to our vision for the remodel, listened to our concerns and provided us with their credentials. She set out to design what the kitchen could look like. Once we received the estimate and signed the contract we set a start date. We were given a 3–4-week time frame, allowing for anything unexpected (like snowstorm Enzo on January 21 and 22). Project started January 2, 2025, with the demo, and was completed on January 27, 2025, with touch up painting and walk through. We could not be happier with the results. The pictures do not do justice to what our kitchen now looks like, All the workers were courteous, friendly and professional. Some of the workers even offered suggestions on how to make the design more user friendly and complimentary. They left the site clean every time they worked on it. We would like to acknowledge all the staff that made our dream kitchen come to life. Project managers Zach and Maikel. Customers say: True professional

"

The subcontractor's plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry were all A plus.

Our only regret was using Wisenbacker as suggested by Brandon for granite and tile work. As a note of caution,

Wisenbacker products are of high quality, but their installation quality varies  from unacceptable to A plus.

With the hard work of my husband and Brandon working with Wisenbackers installation issues were resolved.

Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Framing a house with steel generally takes less time—around five to eight weeks—than most building materials. The steel components can also be made quickly off-site and manufactured with pre-punched holes for running piping and electrical wiring, which will lessen the prep work and extra labor during construction.

Your local building code will list all the framing requirements for whatever type of structure you're building. Most exterior walls require spacing of 16 inches on-center, while many non-load-bearing interior walls only require 24 inches of spacing. However, there are also varying requirements depending on your construction material, so checking your municipality's rules is essential.

Yes, you will need a jack for a rim joist replacement. To prevent sagging and facilitate the removal of load-bearing wood, you’ll need to relieve the pressure from this joint before beginning work.

Due to hydraulics and other specialized equipment, a sill plate and rim joist replacement are not typically a DIY project. Hiring a professional structural engineer and experienced contractors is the best approach to replacing rotted sill plates and rim joists.

Professionals charge between $60 and $95 per hour to install ornamental porch columns. The amount of time they need varies based on the condition of the porch, whether they need to remove old columns, and if there is any damage to your porch's structure. This cost can increase if more issues come up during the installation process.

Modern brick houses are really stick-built homes with a brick facade for aesthetic purposes only, so most have framing. With genuine brick construction, most homeowners install furring strips over the interior of the brick and then install drywall over those strips to cover the brick wall, so they don’t have traditional framing.
