From our first visit to installation was only three weeks. We supplied our own new undermount sink, and reused our exisiting faucets etc. The team did an excellent job on installation day. Old countertops removed, new ones installed. One of our pieces was a very odd shape due to the kitchen layout and despite the laser measurements we had to have some cutting into the dry wall. They did a great job of levelling the countertop even though our cabinets were not all at exactly the same level. And the pattern had been laid out on the slabs to give an extremely good join from one piece to the next, not easy with the granite we chose. I was impressed by the attention to detail of the installers, and the way they finished off the job and cleared up at the end of day. Great price and good service, very impressed. Reading some of the (albeit older) negative reviews, I need to stress how important it is to sort out before the install EXACTLY what you want done - where holes are going to be drilled etc - and not leave it to the day of the install before thinking about these things. They definitely tried to up-sell us. What happened was we selected what we wanted. We picked out the slabs of granite. We had the blueprints with us. They measured everything off. The said, \"Based on the square feet, this what you need.\" We paid for it. That was probably about two months before installation. When they came out and installed it, the guy that was actually doing the work measured the physical cabinets, etc. went back to his shop to cut it. Then, we were trying to get them to schedule installation and we never could have get in touch with them in fact they would not answer calls or anything. After two weeks of that I finally got in touch with the owner. My contractor was trying to call them. Finally, after about two weeks, I got hold of the owner of the company and he said, \"I am so sorry, but we mis-measured. You have to buy more granite.\" They measured it wrong and I had to pay for it. They said that the cabinets were not to the original plan, which there was a little bit of a variance, but those variances were in place when the guy came out and measured and he saw the changes. He knew exactly what it was and he said don't worry about it, it was fine. So they up-sell us. There were three different designs. We finally got rid of one of them and got it back, got everything back. We used some scraps for the room, for the laundry room and bought more slabs and we got one more slab, they kind of worked with us that way. They came out to install it and they had cut it wrong. It was not the size for the bar in the kitchen that it was supposed to have been.and we accepted that because we were between a rock and a hard place. We were down range to do the appraisal in two days and we had to have the granite in place. Then, after all that, and I had paid them in full for everything they said, the guy tried to collect for installation. I refused to pay it and he refused to leave the property. We finally got the owner on the speaker phone with us and he said, \"I'll talk to you later. You all go ahead and leave.\" We didn't talk to them again. They did come in and laid it down and installed it. They didn't try to collect more money for the installation but they did do the installation. The installation was good. We were very pleased with that. It was a lot of granite. They had five guys working for nine hours doing the installation. And they did a good job which I like. I did pay for the extra granite, I had to. So then they got it done and installed it and that's when they tried to collect for another fee for installation which my understanding is that they covered with everything we paid. The owner, I know this because he is partners with personal things and we know the person, he travels and he's from Pakistan and there is a lot of cultural difference there. My friend got him on the phone and said you have a problem and we measured it, we didn't have enough granite and we have to buy another slab and he said we made it wrong. He said I am so sorry I made a mistake. It was real black and white. I got upset obviously about it. He said I said I'm sorry. You have to have more granite. That was it. What we did was we put a little bit cheaper granite in the laundry room and I talked him into at the places that would work I gave it back to you. In the kitchen is where they were short. He said you'll have to buy another slab. I did that. And he said he would give me the granite we need to buy once the slabs were cut right next to each other so they match and so we had bought three slabs for the kitchen. He said you are going to need a fourth slab and it will be a different stone, a different granite. Then we only needed about half of it. So we had half a slab of granite left over. We worked on square feet, you take that cheaper granite back and don't use it for the laundry room and put the extra slab that's left over from the kitchen in the laundry room and that's what we did, so we got a credit for the less expensive granite and we got charged for the additional slab of granite. The price was very, very reasonable. One of my clients was doing a remodel and he was showing me his bids he got from four different companies. Every bid that they were getting was in the $20-$25,000 range and we come in at nine which was fabulous the amount but we had some of the problems that we had which was very unprofessional."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/richardson/best-granite-countertops-reviews-7536611.htm"},"position":5},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Stone Cutters","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Ricky G."},"reviewBody":"The countertops are fabulous. The installers put down runners to protect my hardwood floors and cleaned up after themselves. They also hauled off the old counter tops instead of leaving them in from of my house. They did chip the edge of my granite but did send someone out to repair it and it looks good. The one negative that I can think of is that if you don't live in Dallas, it can be an issue selecting your granite slabs. I live in McKinney and the drive to the slab yards can take up to an hour depending on traffic. They close at 5 pm and are only open half a day on Saturday. It can be an issue if you have to work. Our entire projected lasted about 10 days (not counting one weekend). First, we were thinking of only installing hardwood floors, but then we decided to paint and add other things as well. Mike Mitchell was very good at adjusting our estimates based on our changing requirements and we were very pleased about how there were no surprise costs. He was pretty clear about how much money would be needed up front and how much could get financed, and when the job could start. He was pretty patient about our indecision concerning what paint colors we wanted and what type floor we wanted. I think he brought floor samples to us at least three times; he also referred us to the supply company they use where there were more floor samples. He'd also come out and measure every time we had a new idea (such as, let's also get granite). We also got to go and choose our own granite slabs and the sink we wanted. Then we bought the faucet fixture and disposal we wanted them to install. Anyway, the project started off with painting, with nail pops and other problems fixed first. That lasted a couple of days and at least two coats were used. I was actually surprised when they started the second coat as I thought it looked fine with just the initial coat. The crew had the exact color paint we had chosen and came with the necessary scaffolding. While painting was ongoing, they started taking up carpeting. Then they took off all the old ceramic (watch out for the dust...). They walled off the entryway with plastic to keep the dust from spreading everywhere Our new ceiling fan was replaced, and new light fixtures in the kitchen were then put in, and measurements were taken for the granite. Great job centering the lights over the kitchen island. Then the kitchen ceiling was patched up...it actually had holes from the initial install of box lighting that we were replacing but the guys just took care of that, too. About this time, our old backsplash and countertops were removed. Then the floor was put in. This actually took about two days as our entire first floor minus the kitchen and baths, had hardwood and new molding put in. But they were careful moving furniture around and placing it back. Then the granite came in. One of our kitchen walls was not exactly straight so the install of one granite piece was a bit off initially; but this got fixed. I was concerned the new oven range would not fit in the space but they knew what they were doing when the installed the granite and everything fit fine; they even placed a granite bar behind the range (the new range does not have a back console like the old range did so otherwise a gap would be back there). Their tile guys set the new backsplash how we wanted and were even willing to pop out placed tiles and replace them with different decorative tiles on the fly, as we decided our initial idea needed a bit of changing. During this project, it appeared that all work crews had specific tasks. One team painted, another laid floors, one removed countertops and installed backsplash; another crew installed granite, electricians installed lights/fans, etc. Going through a remodel wasn't easy but everything looks great now and we are very pleased. We simply had too many things to get done and it was much easier getting everything done with one company than trying to hire different people for each different thing. We'd definitely use Raindango! again. But it'll be a while before we get around to remodeling our upstairs.

We needed to have all the walls spruced up. We had previously had Southern Painting paint the exterior of our home in late summer/early fall and we loved the great job they did. So, we knew the great work they did. Early Monday morning Reyna and her crew arrived to start work. The work was scheduled to be completed in three days and that?s what happened. They were extremely careful with our furniture and new flooring and countertops. They did a superb job in all rooms and the texture matched the walls in our other rooms. They completed the job as scheduled in three days and did a fantastic job cleaning up prior to their leaving. We still need to have the master bedroom and bath repainted but are planning on some upgrades in the bath and want to wait until that is completed. I compared prices with several plumbing companies and he charged less. He came out promptly and did that work quickly and efficiently. I should have had the undersink cabinet repaired while the counters were out, but didn't, so that became more difficult since it was one large shelf with a 2-door cabinet that had a divider, and the shelf supports also needed to be replaced. He did a nice job for less than I expected. Then, I asked for a bid on redoing my dining room ceiling with had cracks in a couple of corners along the vaulting. He gave me a good bid, then sent out a team of drywall guys to do the work. They were 45-60 minutes later than expected, but knocked the work out in 2 mornings, including the painting, and it looks very nice. They put down paper to protect my tile and hardwood, used plastic drops to protect walls and keep the dust in that room, and cleaned up meticulously after themselves. Besides all that, Michael is pleasant and easy to work with, does what he promises, and gets in and out quickly. I intend to use him for future projects."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/rowlett/dallas-kitchen-and-bath-reviews-6409485.htm"},"position":10}]}
