I would expect any plumber worth his salt to get an 'A' rating on all but price. For that, and his punctuality, I would give this review an 'A'. HOWEVER, BUYER BEWARE! For what he did, the price of $345 was outrageous, as was $150 for just the new fill valve and flapper in the water tank. For any plumbing company on Angie's List there are only 4 points of comparison - call it C-PAAP: Communication (between the customer and the office, and between the office and the plumber/contractor), Punctuality (showing up when scheduled, completion of work in a timely manner and on schedule), Aptitude (quality of workmanship), Attitude (being courteous and professional) and Price. Since all companies should get ‘A’s on the first four, the only factor that should differentiate one from the other is Price. It shouldn't have cost any more than $150 to do the job since it only took him an hour. For example, if I had hired 'All Metroplex Plumbing' they would have only charged $125 for the service call plus one hour labor, plus parts (if any). Another company would only have charged $135 for two hours of plumbing labor. Ernie’s website says that if you mention Tracking # 1009 you’ll get $25.00 off any service, but even that doesn’t even come close to bringing the price down to an acceptable level. It also says that you can decide (when the plumber gets to your house or business), then or later, if you want them to perform the service, they say that their estimates are good for 30 days. If you want to shop their price around with other plumbers! After Doug left, and we had flushed the toilet a couple times, the water in the tank began to slowly drain out because the 'flapper valve' chain to the flush handle arm (inside the water tank) came loose because he failed to crimp the end of the chain closed so that it couldn't fall off. If we had gone on vacation for a week or two after Doug left, without flushing the toilet again, we would have returned to find that we had acquired an enormous water bill because the water would have been running constantly trying to refill the tank. I don't understand how Angie's List can give them an 'A' rating since there are so many customers who have been so negative on them! Out of a total of 851 reviews (as of 10/25/15), there were 41 'F's (4.8%), 23 'D's (2.7%), 22 'C's (2.6%) and 39 ‘B's (4.6%). The vast majority of irate customers were those who complained about the outrageous prices! Only 716 were 'A's (84%). (All numbers are approximate, and the percentages don't equal 100 due to rounding errors.) They prey on your being a captive-audience-customer who’s desperate to have a plumbing issue fixed without any further delay, especially since you may not want to go through the time consuming process of scheduling another estimate. Their pricing practice is nothing less that ‘Operation Rip-off’. Care to be a future victim of their exorbitant pricing? By contrast, when you take a look at the Angie’s List map of customer locations and ratings for 'All Metroplex Plumbing', every one of their 163 reviews were ‘A’s, with the exception of only one, which was a ‘B’! Their phone number in Lewisville is 214-717-9911. I’ve used him before and tried to use him again this time, but his schedule was filled up for the next several days. P.S.: I’ll update this review if Ernie reduces my bill to $150 by giving me the refund I require."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/tx/arlington/ernie%27s-plumbing-service-inc-reviews-360096.htm"},"position":6},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"TruGreen Lawn Care - 5042","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"TX","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"David B."},"reviewBody":"Everything was fine until we had problems. Called and asked for grub treatment to eliminate armadillo food source. Was told they do not treat for armadillos. After further discussion about my treatment request, I was told that grub treatment was not included in my contract - I never received a copy of list of provided services, yet grub treatment is clearly listed on the web site list of Tru Health services. After getting through to a local manager, she agreed to provide grub treatment. This spring, I had several dead patches in my year old zoysia sod. New hire technician didn't have a clue but called his supervisor who diagnosed "Zoysia spot" without looking at the lawn and said we needed a fungicide. I said OK. No mention of extra cost, but I soon received a $400 bill. After long discussion with a supervisor,I cancelled my service and refused to pay fungicide bill. Received several collection calls but none recently. In a year we have had at least five technicians, only one of which seemed to know anything about horticulture. Gave several wrong answers to simple fertilization and planting questions. Technicians have left computer printed reports of service provided to include application of liquid nitrogen fertilizer at inappropriate times. Supervisor's response was that this fertilizer was not loaded into their tanks at that time - tech just hit the wrong key. Broadleaf weeds are much fewer than when they started, but nut sedge is rampant. Tru Green is a typical national conglomerate driven more by profit than by customer service. When you finally get through the phone maze to someone with limited authority, you get bogus explanations, excuses, and canned apologies. One had two leaks one from the tank into the bowl and at the floor. Doug compared the price with the repairs to buying a new toilet and due to the fact the toilet was 23 years old and to make the repairs that would involve taking apart and reseating the toilet costs in labor and parts we decided to purchase a new one. Also had a floor leak one a second toilet and that was repaired as well. Doug fully explained the work and possible maximum costs so we were fully informed in order to make our decision. Doug had a new toilet on this truck and completed all repairs on the first call. We are very happy and impressed with Doug?s customer service, knowledge, and workmanship. After using several companies in the past without being fully satisfied Legacy Plumbing will definitely be our plumbing company of choice.

We hired c&w plumbing to fix a toilet tank that had rusty screws and was starting to leak. The young man told us how much it would cost and what he would have to do to fix the problem. he gave us the price to fix it or replace it. We chose to fix it. When he couldn't fix it he gave us the...

FAQs for septic tank service projects in Shady Shores, TX
The cost to replace a septic tank is $7,350 for the average homeowner. This cost can range, however, from $470 to $22,500, depending on several factors. Your house size is a significant factor in the overall cost, but other things like material type impact the final price tag. For example, installing a new septic tank in a one-bedroom house typically costs $500 to $900, whereas installing a new septic tank in a five or six-bedroom home is generally $1,200 to $1,600.
Yes, most states require septic tank installers to have a license, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed septic tank pro could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
The cost of septic tank repair is $1,775 for the average homeowner. However, depending on a few elements, you might pay as little as $170 or as much as $6,100. Location, repair type, and tank material all determine the final cost. For example, replacing the septic tank filter can be as little as $200 to $300. However, repairing septic lines costs more, averaging around $1,500.
A septic tank can typically last 15 to 20 years on average, though your system's lifespan will vary depending on the type of septic system and the materials used. To help increase your septic tank's lifespan, schedule routine maintenance and do not flush items like cat litter, cigarette butts, or paper towels.
Repairing or replacing a septic tank is a job best left to a professional. Your septic tank is an essential part of your home, and if installed or repaired incorrectly, it could lead to significant problems. Things like polluted water, property damage, and health risks to your family could all happen as a result of an improper septic tank repair or installation.
