I am an Interior Decorator and expert sewing professional. My specialty is in designing and creating CUSTOM SOFT FURNISHINS for my clients. These custom products include, but are not limited to: draperies and window treatments, slip covers, bedroom decor, runnners, decorative pillows and throws as well as custom upholstery. I also carry a variety of BLINDS, (wood, faux wood and vinyl), SHADES, (rolller, solar, pleated, honeycomb, flat roman, folded roman, balloon, etc..), and SHUTTERS, (wood and vinyl). And, a wide line of home decor FABRICS and TRIMS for all custom decorating projects. I also design and create a beautiful line of soft furnishings under the Royal & Mary label to include my registered Trademark, Chair Suits (R). Chair Suits (R) are fun, fashionable CHAIR COVERS with dressmaker detail guaranteed to brighten up any decor. My decorating services include ROOM MAKE-OVERS, (this includes furniture, art and accessory placement), to get the most out of what you already own in a fresh new look; SIMPLE ACCESSORIZING which includes art & accessories but not furniture placement; HOME STAGING to prepare that house to appeal to the broadest range of potential buyers; COLOR, FINISH SELECTION AND SPACE consultation. As a professional decorator, I charge by the hour or by the project. I have a two hour minimum for any of my decorating or staging services. My time is also charged by the hour as "Design Time" for any and all custom drapery and soft furnishings design projects. This includes working with you to help you select a specific product style, selecting your color palette, fabrics and trims as well as space measurements and determining your project budget. Also included here is time for my research of your fabrics and hardware options and proposal preparation to meet your project specifications. Proposal preparation time includes any "to-scale" drawings that you may request, all photo scanning and project email time spent, calculating fabric yardage and trim requirements, workroom labor pricing, installation charges, any pick up and delivery trips required, trip fees, product freight or shipping and sales tax. The hourly design fee will be paid by you as a retainer deposit to get started on your research and design. The balance of the hourly design fee is due at the time of the proposal presentation. Should you decide to move forward with a signed contract for the custom work to be done, 100% of the hourly design fee will be credited toward your signed contract purchase for that particular project proposal. Seasonal decorating is another specialty niche. No matter the season, allow me to help bring your decor alive to enjoy with a few simple changes. We can use what you already own and love or you can rent new decor from me, just for the season. If you like the rental pieces they are yours to buy for an additional fee. I use sub-contractors for the furniture upholstery and drapery and window treatment installation. Contractor labor and trip fees are included in your estimate. A trip charge of $30.00 is charged for less than 5 window treatments products. Generally 50% of our business is window treatments for new home construction, both, custom and floorplan housing. About 15% is remodeling/updating existing homes. And, about 35% is commercial. We are an authorized window treatment dealer for such well known manufactures as HunterDouglas, Graber, Bali, Royal, Comfortex, and, Norman Window Fashions. We also have our Builders Choice Blinds brand name.
