"Edger and his team did an excellent job on removing a limb that fell on my main electrical wire to my house and on my roof from the storm we just had. They topped the tree and removed another dead tree as well as trimmed up my tree in the front yard! They did this job fairly quick! The clean up was excellent!! The price was very reasonable for the work they did it would of cost double with another company. I would recommend them to everyone! Thank you Edgar!"

"I hired Joshua with Box Tree Care to cut down trees that fell May 9th and trim up other trees / branches. He responded immediately, is courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, arrives on time, very prompt and his crew goes out of their way to make sure a great job is done, even if Joshua has to leave for a minute. They went around picking up odd branches without being told or asked. They cleaned up and hauled everything off. Very fast workers. I highly recommend Joshua for your arborist needs. You can use a felling ax to chop down a tree by following the same prep and steps as a chainsaw, but be prepared to use some muscle. For trees bigger than 7 inches in diameter, it can take some time and serious strength to cut down a tree using just an ax. 

The best time to trim trees is in late fall through winter when the tree has slowed its growing for the year. Cold weather stops insects and fungal growth from attacking a new tree wound. Summer and fall are considered the worst times to trim trees, but it’s permissible in certain scenarios, such as tree disease, damaged branches, or small, aesthetic cuts.

It is possible to burn out a tree stump if it is dried out and in an area of your property with a large buffer. Drill holes in the stump and dig around the base so it burns more easily. Then, build a small campfire on top using kindling and firewood. You’ll need enough to keep the fire going for many hours to completely burn out the stump, especially if it’s large. 

Monitor the fire closely to ensure it doesn’t spread, and have a hose on hand if it starts to get out of control. When the fire is out, break apart the burned stump and dig out what’s left of it.
