"We'd had sod laid by another company a year ago but within a month it had died, so we were reluctant (but determined) to try it one more time. Alex looked over the previous year's work, the soil condition, shade and sun areas and recommended "St. Augustine Amerishade" as we have significant shady areas. We had them take out a large fig tree, clean up a year's worth of leaves, rototill and prepare the sub soil. They delivered the sod and installed it the same day (critical to survival of the grass) and today the lawn is flourishing. They top-dressed the sod after 6 weeks which really seemed to help strengthen and hasten the spread to a few bare areas. We'll have them back in a few months for some extensive tree work.
