"This guy is not just a carpenter, he is an artist. I asked him to do chair rails and under frames in our dining room, as well as do a coffered ceiling. I had no idea what all this entailed, but he did. He came and measured, gave me options, and offered guidance. The results are beyond what I hoped for. His team left the space cleaner than they found it, and even helped me re hang the pictures and put the furniture back in place. Excellent choice for fine carpentry work!!!"
"Company rep was very professional and accommodating - he was able to salvage my shutter's broken frame and reinstalled it after repair instead of automatically recommending replacement of both shutters. Work was excellent quality, done in a timely manner and well priced."
"Joshua was punctual a true professional and extremely personable. He has very extensive experience in all matters of repairs carpentry and mechanics. He assembled these three pieces of furniture and hung this heavy mirror in record time. Boss Charles even called personally to ensure our satisfaction. They are the best in the biz, I highly recommend them, and will use no one else."
"I have a small house and decided to convert a room for much needed storage. Marcelino worked with me to include every detail I wanted such as space for larger framed items, shelf partitions for the smaller framed items with open space across the top of the 3 units for longer items such as a 10-pack of fluorescent lights. The units are floor to ceiling and integrated into the base and ceiling trim. The materials and workmanship are excellent and the pricing is very reasonable. I will be adding a smaller 2-unit in my office later this year. Marcelino and Laura are a joy to work with, and I highly recommend them."
"Repairs to railing, powerwashing, sanding, staining. They did an excellent job with the deck, Ray was straightforward and honest through the entire process."
"I hired Sonart Construction to remodel my sons bedroom and they did a great job. The price was very good, they was on time with their job, and it came out beautiful. Very good company."
"This was a major scope-creap project. Started out with repairs to a closet that had held the water heater. Then we expanded the project to include refinishing and painting the walls in two bedrooms, a hall, a bathroom, the laundry room - and installing wood floors in the entire bedroom wing of the house, including closets. So all furnishings were removed and replaced. Plus we added new doors through-out the house - started with three doors and finished with 12 - door frames are all off alittle due to this being a 45 year-old house. Paul and his team were very flexible, were very diligent, and cleaned up after themselves. They started at 8:00 am and finished at 6:00 pm. They only took breaks for lunch - no smoke breaks, or rest breaks - they worked! When I asked about floors, Paul brought in a sub-contractor that laid new hickory foors - previously carpet - and they were finished to our specifications with a matching stain to the wood in our living areas. Paul Alvarez was on-site throughout the project and acted as my project manager - we had a running list of items that we worked through together and he kept up with the list. The last item that they finished was the wine closet that they created from the old water heater closet - creative solution. We will have Paul and team back after the first of the year to refinish our bedroom/office, which will be a small project by comparison. Paul helped us to create solutions around color and texture for the rooms that we finished and he ensured that the work was performed to our satisfaction. His team treated our home and furnishings with the same care that they would use in their own homes - they were all professional and courteous.
"On time, fast response, finished work is a little off. We paid for some replacement screens using the existing frames and a few windows to get solar screens. The replacement screens are all perfect. The solar screens donâ t fit at least one window- thereâ s a large gap where the screen is bowed out- enough to stick my hand through. It should have been obvious at installation. On another they broke a window and didnâ t say anything. I had happened to take a picture of that side of the house the day before for paint work or I wouldnâ t have known. I didnâ t call them on the errors or breakage so no opportunity to correct as we will just take care of it ourselves but Iâ m still disappointed. I wasnâ t even going to review but the automated review request wonâ t leave me alone."

"The installers did a very good job of working out the framing of the walkway to make the landings approximately equal in size while having to accommodate a curving and sloping layout. They were careful in digging and did not damage any of several sprinkler system pipes that were right in the middle of the layout. (Unlike a prior contractor that had done work for me.) The job was not rushed so that attention was paid to the details, and the job was completed in a week. They did a very good job of cleanup at the end of each day and at the completion of the project. Luisa took care of the city permitting which made it easier for me to get HOA approval for the walkway. We have a nice looking and functional walkway that gives us much easier access from the street to our front door instead of making our way up a very steep driveway."
Duration varies by project size, but average-sized homes typically take a weeks.
Your local building code will list all the framing requirements for whatever type of structure you're building. Most exterior walls require spacing of 16 inches on-center, while many non-load-bearing interior walls only require 24 inches of spacing. However, there are also varying requirements depending on your construction material, so checking your municipality's rules is essential.
There are a variety of second-story deck privacy ideas depending on your budget and aesthetic. For starters, you might consider fencing or tall privacy railing that masks a good portion of the open deck. A pergola or an awning can provide additional cover and shade. Outdoor curtains are an easy way to add or remove privacy at your convenience, plus they’re a wallet-friendly way to decorate your deck.
Accurate measurements, sturdy materials, and seamless integration with other structures.
While framing a basement is not as difficult as finishing a basement, it's something you should typically leave to the pros. That’s because if something is installed correctly, it will affect your entire basement. However, you can take care of some of the smaller tasks, like filling holes or putting up some insulation.
