Small jobs welcome

"Roger mounted two 75” TVs and a sound bar for us. It was hard to find someone that could confidently mount on a limestone wall, but Roger completed the mount quickly and efficiently. He made sure the mounts were safe and securely mounted into studs. He discussed mounting options as we wanted to mount the other tv on a wall that was shared with a shower so he took into consideration the plumbing concerns that could be involved. He was also able to raise the electric outlet according to code so that all cords were hidden behind the tv. As he completed his work, he made sure to thoroughly clean. We would highly recommend Roger to others looking for a knowledgeable and friendly handyman. We will be contacting Roger again in the future for other media installation requests."

Tv Mount Install questions, answered by experts

Choosing the right size of wall anchors is essential for a secure installation. The size of the wall anchors should match the size of the screws you plan to use. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the specific wall anchors you purchase. Typically, the packaging of the wall anchors will indicate the appropriate screw size and diameter for a proper fit.

It’s worth hiring a TV-mounting professional to hang your TV to ensure the safety of your device and long-lasting results. If you’re investing in a large or smart TV, it’s worth preserving your investment to guarantee that it’s hung safely and correctly. Plus, a TV mounting professional can recommend the right wall mount based on the wall type and TV size and weight.

Professionals mount TVs using specialized tools and knowledge of different wall materials, ensuring safe support.

You will be placing holes in the wall to hang the mounting bracket. If you’re mounting a large TV, the bolts in use could make significant holes around half an inch in diameter. Other than a few holes, though, the process of mounting the TV should not cause significant damage to the wall, unless you make an error and miss the wall stud, tearing out drywall. Should you decide to remove the mount later, the DIY drywall repair cost for a small hole usually is $10 to $30. It’s a repair you can do in a few minutes.

In most cases, you should not put a TV on a fireplace mantel. The minimum width required to put a TV safely on a shelf or mantel is 10 inches, but pre-made mantels are usually too shallow, averaging at only seven inches deep. If you do choose to place a TV above a mantel, it should be mounted to the wall. However, do so cautiously as heat radiating from the fireplace could potentially cause damage to electronics.
