    I hired Jil Appliance Repair to fix my refrigerator on 11/13/20, Friday. I was promised it would be fixed over the weekend, or, at the latest, on Monday, 11/16/20. The business owner, Kevin, didn't have a business card but said he is insured and bonded to repair refrigerators. I found his business online, and a couple of reviews I saw, said they were satisfied with quality of repairs and punctuality. Kevin didn't give me a receipt for $75 (paid cash) for service call but asked my daughter for e-mail address and promised to e-mail the receipt, which he never did. My daughter Olga Mekler and her husband, Gaston Del Pino were handling texts and phone calls with Kevin, since my English is limited. After he diagnosed the problem, evaporator fan was bad, he said total price for repairs would be $275, including service call fee. He never showed up on Monday, 11/16/20, after making excuses by texts and ignoring our multiple phone calls. He came on 11/20/20 with a wrong size evaporator fan, took it to his vehicle with the old broken one, and in a few minutes walked back inside and installed, I suspect, the old broken one in, and said it should reboot in a little while and should start working. He promised to come back in a few hours and check on it, since the fridge didn't start working at that point and I refused to pay. Fridge never started working and he never came back the same day and didn't respond to multiple phone calls. On November 18, by text, he also promised a discount because it was taking so long. Kevin came back on November 25, 2020 and installed another evaporator fan and said that it will be working for sure and demanded I pay "discount" price of $120 , which I paid cash, no receipt again. The freezer started freezing to -17 to -20 F, refrigerator part cooled to about 50F only and after multiple phone calls and text Kevin promised to return the total of $190 I paid to him. I am still waiting for that, and fridge is still not working. I am without a fridge for over a month now.

    My experience has been the worst I have ever experienced. JIL Appliance repair asked for a $450 deposit on the parts order. I paid with a credit card and to date I cannot get JIL to show up to perform the repair once they told me the part had arrived. All I get is excuses that they are so busy and the latest lie is that the technicians are sick. I started this process Nov 17 and have no part or service but a credit card charge for $450. I have requested a refund/credit from them but JIL is unresponsive. I believe this company is fraudulent and should be removed from your "list". I am very disappointed in your service referral and dissatisfied with JIL Appliance.

    At first it went fine. I even wrote a great review for Kevin Blair. However, the dishwasher started leaking again within 24 hours and I called Kevin Back and asked him to please come back out because it was leaking again. He literally stood me up no less than 5 times. He would say he was going to be there Monday - then wouldn't not show and not even call. My text would go ignored for 24 hours. Totally ghosted. This little game has been going on a couple of weeks now. Even so, I would still try to give him the benefit of the doubt that he would eventually keep his word to me. But he never did. He said he was coming Wednesday Nov. 25 at noon, and of course, was a no show/no call. I'm done. I NEVER leave bad reviews, but in this case, I am out $189 dollars. All he did was change a hose. I had told him that the dishwasher was leaking during the 2nd cycle, but it clearly wasn't checked. Some of $189 charge was for florescent lightbulbs, but my kitchen has an electrical issue so that was for nothing as well. I feel so disrespected and like a cruel joke has been played on me. My husband is out of town right now, & now we have had a major death in the family. So there is just nothing I can do right now except leave reviews of what happened everywhere I can think of and accept that I got stolen from. I will NEVER use Angie's List again either. There is no guarantee that you will get any kind of customer service help from them. You can't even make a phone call to them unless you are a member. I didn't want to do a me membership until I knew if the service would be worth it. It wasn't. So buyer beware, if someone from Angie's lists screws you over, you just ate that money.

    I called Bubba's Appliance Repair in the morning and set up an appointment for that afternoon to have a repairman come to my home and repair an older GE Washing Machine. Steve arrived exactly when he said he would and went right to work. In about half an hour I was washing clothes again. The price for the house call was only $40 and the needed part was another $40 for the cheapest house call in recent memory. I surely recommend Bubba's Appliance Repair and their repair man, Steve.     I called up about 6 refrgerator repair places but none had the ability to repair Samsung. Neither does this company, however, he did point me in the right direction. I had called him because Sears rescheduled an appointment for 2 weeks away instead of 1 week. I didn't want to wait that long. Max Middleton told me to just get a new fridge and save me from the trouble of getting charged way too much. I told him the problem and he gave me advice. That's good service in my book.
