"We had a window casing and framing project on our new construction home. From the first phone call, Gary had the vision of what we wanted. He was a great partner in this project. We were completely comfortable with him in our home. He did what he said he would do, when he said he'd do it (which is rare enough) but he brings the eye of an artist to the work. I feel like I can't recommend him highly enough. Just fantastic work. Happy to have the project done but almost hate to see him go. 😁"

"Signed contract for 1,000 sq ft floating deck and railing atop 3-car garage, some Hardie boards installed on end of 2nd story house facing deck, painting, caulking, etc. 24/25Aug Hardie installer did an unprofessional job. 12,13&15 Sep, first paint crew did lousy job caulking and painting Hardie boards. 5Oct, second paint crew did more caulking and tried to better paint job. Still blotchy, but tired at this point dealing with company. Threatened to pay for what was done and terminate contract, but owner threatened to have his attorney contact us. We continued after having an hour-long meeting with the owner to get things on the "right track;" however, nothing changed. 11-23Oct, deck installers installed sub-frame pressure-treated lumber and Trex decking, steps, and porch cover. A very nice job. 23Oct, sub-contractor did excellent job installing a metal roof on the porch. 24/25Oct, another crew did a beautiful job installing railings. 30/31Oct, second paint crew did poor paint job and poor storm door install. 6Nov, had to have Hardie board door frame removed and replaced with cedar (wood) frame for storm door to be properly attached. 7Nov, Third, yes third, paint crew showed up to paint and caulk door frame and touch up 2nd paint crew's poor paint job. Contract and advertisement state "no money paid till job completed." On 19Oct owner asked for "$25K or $30K payment" as he needed funds. I acquiesced and gave him $20K. Final payment of $26K was made on 8Nov17. The day final payment was made, I had a question about Trex and went to the Trex web site and discovered the wolmanized/pressure-treated sub-frame lumber used for the floating deck should have had Trex Protect Joist and Beam Tape installed doubling the life expectancy from 10 to 20 years--confirmed via e-mail from Trex customer service. Was disappointed this professional company with a "passion for quality deck construction" wasn't aware of this product. (Did ask Diamond Deck owner why this wasn't used in our last e-mail to him, no response--he had our money. After agreeing to a $46K contract, certainly another $500 or so for beam tape to double the life of our sub-frame wouldn't have been an issue.) This 10-week project was the most stressful remodeling experience in our lives. Extremely poor communication, project managers who don't oversee a job nor coordinate work with homeowner and workers, and excuses galore. The company obviously takes on too many jobs sacrificing quality and leaving the homeowner feeling like this is a side-line project and "we'll get to you when we can." Also, we are still cleaning up behind the crews (oil stains all over our driveway from sub-contractor/employee vehicles, unused screws, cigarette butts, etc.). We paid for our own porta-potti as none was offered. During this 10-week ordeal (albeit we did have several weeks of poor weather or shipping delays) we had NUMEROUS e-mails, texts, phone calls & some meetings--totally uncalled for if this was"

"After installing an above-ground therapeutic pool into a newly-enclosed patio, I called A Team Solutions Services to build an essential stair platform for safe and easy access to the pool along with a mini-split AC system. I am extremely happy with the results, which were highly functional, aesthetically pleasing, and very reasonably priced! Carpentry questions, answered by experts

You can enclose an open carport, however, there are several things to consider before opting to do so. You'll want to check local building codes and permit requirements before proceeding to make sure it’s legal. While you can sometimes stick-frame a carport enclosure, pre-fab kits are also available. Remember that you'll likely need to meet concrete slab regulations and provide lighting inside the structure. Both of which could substantially drive up costs.

Converting a carport into a garage can vary in difficulty depending on its configuration, the condition of the foundation or slab, and its location relative to the house. The process has a lot in common with a home addition, but you can often skip non-essential finishes like fine flooring, trim work, or even drywall and HVAC. The conversion requires experience with drywall, insulation, and other building materials to ensure it’s done safely and correctly. While it might be possible for a DIYer with the proper tools and skills to do the work, it is a complicated and potentially dangerous job. If you’re new to basic construction, it's best to leave this project to the professionals.

Yes, professional installations include reinforced corner posts to ensure durability.

Bow windows need support because they are large and extend out from the exterior wall of the home. Bow windows may extend 1 foot to several feet from the outside of the home, so you’ll need to provide additional support to handle this weight. A window contractor will be able to provide the proper amount of support for your new bow window.

Yes, a 2x6 should hold a porch swing and safely support the load. A smaller joist runs the risk of it not offering enough support for the swing. If you have a joist smaller than 2x6, add additional bolstering support.
