"Horrible! The tech they sent out has left two times and now my dishwasher sits in the middle of the kitchen floor! Very unprofessional! Only installed 1 of the 2 parts and said it doesn’t need the mother board. How does he know this this electric or water connected? Stated he can’t put back because drain line goes through the floor. "American Home Shield (AHS) warranty is replacing my broken microwave with a new one. I received the new microwave on 11/11/2020 and notified AHS it was in my possession. Part of the warranty contract includes the installation of the new microwave. AHS typically assigns contractors themselves. However, this time AHS contracted with C & R Services with a dispatch number on 11/13/2020 for C & R to assign a local contractor to do the install. After two weeks of waiting and not being contacted by C & R or a contractor, I called C & R to follow up on the status. They said it would be 1 to 2 weeks from the date they received the dispatch from AHS. I informed them it had been 2 weeks in which they replied that it would be another 2 weeks. As of today, 12/11/2020, 4 weeks from the date C & R received the dispatch, I have not been contacted by C & R or a contractor. C & R's lack of communication and customer service is absurd. AHS informed me that they do not have any authority over C & R."

"Stonebridge will lie to get out of trouble. Take pictures. use your cell phone to take pictures of everything. Take a picture of the screen to record the time and date. You have to prove yourself. I took pictures of water on our floor after they put in freon, ruined baseboards, serviceman standing outside looking at our inside unit with about 3 to 4 inches of ice on it. They wanted to come back to our home. But they wanted to charge me a service fee. I did not trust them anymore. They yelled at me on the phone. I paid another service company for a consultation….and they found more than one thing wrong. Don't let them come back to your home once they have treated you like your are stupid."

This will involve shutting off the power, then scooping out the water, cleaning the drain filter, and clearing the air gap. You’ll also want to run the garbage disposal and check the drain hose for clogs.

While the exact appearance of the filter will depend on your dishwasher brand, it often consists of a cylindrical or rectangular mesh or plastic component. The filter is located at the bottom of the dishwasher beneath the lower spray arm. It includes a combination of a coarse filter, which traps larger food particles, and a finer filter, which captures smaller debris. The filter assembly may be a single unit or a multi-part system that can be twisted or snapped out for cleaning.

A dishwasher filter should be replaced every five years, depending on the manufacturer's recommendations and the frequency of use.
