"My house is about 3000 sqft, the foundation sinking unparallelly causing the outside brick, inside drywall cracks, doors, windows, and structure distortion. Level difference at about 8”. I got a few companies to bid the project to fix the foundation issue. Risen Foundation Solutions is my final pickup for the following consideration: 1. They are professional, provide formal evaluation and cost estimate 2. Explain and show confidence that they are able to get the problem fixed by guarantee the level difference within 1”, life time warranty to fix the issue at no any additional cost to the owner. NO ANY OTHER companies made that promise in writing to me 3. The service is excellent throughout the project, and follow up measurement. The project was completed in early December 2020. They did measurement after 3 months in March 2021, as of today September 8, 2021, the level still keeps the same – difference within 1”. They will come to measure again in one year, three years or anytime I ask for. Given the fact that the foundation is still sitting level for 9 months, I believe my review is solid. I am so happy that I hired Risen Foundation Solutions, their work with solid promise, excellent service and the price is competitive. David"

Customers say: Super punctual

"When I decided to go forward with foundation repair on my house I interviewed five companies and received quotes from all five. I decided to hire Vantage Foundation Repair because the plan Derk Mazurczak presented for placement of support made the most sense and, though the quote wasn't the lowest, I thought it was the best value because Vantage uses steel pilings and offers a transferable 25 year warranty. In addition to the foundation repair, I contracted Vantage to excavate (and refill) a tunnel under the house to gain access for plumbing repair. The quote for the excavation was fair compared to other quotes received. All work was done on schedule. Derk was professional, personable and communications were always prompt within reason. He always took time to answer questions and address concerns. The work crew, led my Calvin, were all polite, hardworking, considerate and removed all personal trash daily. When the projects were finished, the work areas were cleaned beyond my expectations. I'm very pleased with the outcome of both projects. A huge crack that was in an exterior brick wall came back together so well it is hardly noticeable and all of the doors now close as designed. The tunnel allowed sufficient space for the plumber to replace the old cast iron pipes with PVC. Without reservation, I recommend Vantage Foundation Repair to anyone that has need of their services. "When you need foundation work done check for these things: - prior foundation work done on your house - ask the representative who comes in and takes the level readings how far off level is your foundation. When the representative came and took the readings on our house, he did not say how off level it was. All he said was the house was leaning bad on the right side. When the foundation team came to install the piers, I found out that the house was off level by 1/2 inch (ca. 5 cm)! I paid almost $13,000 to have the right side of the house lifted 1/4 inch (ca. 10 cm). And then come to find out when the foundation crew started digging, previous foundation work had already been done! - read, reread and reread the contract before you sign it! Ask any question no matter how stupid you may think it is! - make sure you have a 4-inch sewer clean out so a plumber hired by the foundation company can come in and do a PRE and post hydrostatic test. Any water leaks in your plumbing will void the contract! All plumbing issues are the homeowners financial responsibility to repair!"

"Old school was easy to work with an helped me design my forever home, I was walked through all the plans in detail. They understood what I wanted and that was huge for me. They were very good with communication, solid craftsmanship, and were extremely efficient with their time. I’ve got a one off custom kitchen with beautiful trim everywhere in my house. 3bed 2bath in the middle of winter, not easy. Thank you to everybody at Old School you’ve brought my dream house to reality."

"Joe Valdez of Windmill Heritage Contracting personalized the remodeling services I needed so that I did not have to move out, although the work was throughout the house. It included removal of ceiling texture in eight rooms and painting two bedrooms (walls and trim). They reworked kitchen cabinets and replaced countertops in both the kitchen and two baths, adding and replacing both indirect and decorative lighting fixtures. The workers were polite and careful with moving/protecting my furnishings and flexible in the timing of the work when personal issues came up. Joe went to what seemed like extra efforts to save costs on some things, keeping the overall budget quite reasonable. Overall, it was like working with family!"

"Met with John & Brent as site. After evaluating the job, John sat in his truck & prepared his quote. In addition to the basic "leveling"' of the house, John included additional services such as leveling the front & rear porches & removing "exposed" foundation for front porch. I reviewed their quote & actually "studied" their quote then call John. Over the phone we negotiated the services & price & came to an agreement. Bats required a 10% deposit or down payment with a balance due upon finalization. They do charge a service fee for using plastic but in my case, the deposit was not too much so the fee was waved. Their agreement is one 8-1/2 x 15 page; very simple & straight forward. Basically its a quantity listing of the services with the math extended to illustrate the total cost of services.Very little "legalese." While I was still "considering" their services, John called me with an opening in their schedule. We came to an agreement over the phone & they started a week later. John explained that his crew would start on Monday & finish three days later... They did. I visited the site & noon on the third day. They were finishing up the extra services with temporary supports in place under the house while concrete dried. Very satisfied with Bats Foundation Repair."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

Polyjacking can be a permanent solution to sunken concrete if you also address the underlying issue—like poor drainage—at the same time. The polyurethane material itself can last as long as or even outlast the concrete you’re lifting it with. Your sunken concrete issue will likely return if you don’t couple polyjacking with proper drainage to prevent future soil movement and sinking.

Most projects take 1-3 hours, with immediate usability after completion.

On average, a mudjacking repair lasts between five and 10 years, though it can sometimes last for well beyond a decade under ideal conditions. Its longevity depends heavily on several factors, including the condition of the underlying soil, environmental conditions like freeze/thaw cycles and erosion, and whether the root cause of the sinking, such as drainage issues, is resolved. Because it doesn't always fix the underlying problem of loose soil, mudjacking is often considered a temporary solution. Proper maintenance and evaluation can help extend its lifespan.

A good slump height really depends on the project, but there is a use for nearly all slump levels. For example, low slumps are best in projects that require structure, such as curbs and roads. High slumps often require additional reinforcement, but they flow more freely into hard-to-reach spaces.
