Mike Thorton grew up in Oregon working in forestry while in high school, and came to attend Abilene Christian University as a pole-vaulter. He earned a degree in Education, specializing in Physical Education. I taught school for ten years while doing landscape maintenance in the evenings. I have now been in the tree business for 24 years. We have 4 skilled trimmers that can handle any job. Each trimmer has their ground hands that cleans up and chips. The owner and foremen do all the cutting, and the additional members work as Ground Crew.
