"Everything was amazing, we had to tile close to 200 sqft of floor and shower with a half shower wall, a building in shelf and a step. After having Arthur come out his team was able to come the next day and get everything tiled in 2.5 days. We bought all the materials before he came and he gave us some recommendations for what else we needed for the project and let us know what they typically used as well. They gave us a very good price compared to some other companies and they were professional and hard working throughout everything. They asked plenty of question of what we wanted to make sure everything turned out exactly as we wanted. I will definitely be reaching out again when I have my next tile project."

Customers say: True professional

"Isaac did a wonderful job. He removed old tiles, cement board and prepped with RedGard before installing new tiles. The result is excellent. In addition his charge is so reasonable. Trendsetter is my choice if I do any bathroom renovation."

"Alan Boden was very easy to work with. He assessed our problem and offered options. We chose the one that we actually hadn't thought about. His crew did an excellent job of removing the wooden flooring; installing the tiles; and addressed all our concerns. We wish all the contractors we have dealt with were as professional, efficient and effective as Footprints Floors."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Popular options include ceramic, porcelain, stone, and glass tiles, chosen based on the area (bathroom, kitchen) and desired aesthetic.

You have creative freedom when it comes to your tile trim. If, however, you are considering skipping tile trim, please think twice about that. It is good practice to install tile trim, whether on walls or flooring. Think, too, about the aesthetic you are going for and choose a trim type and color that will help enhance the space.

DIY is possible for small projects. Professional services ensure precision and long-lasting results.

Tile installation can be expensive because it requires more time and labor to install than many other materials. For example, laminate flooring can click and lock into place, and carpet comes in large rolls that you can secure to the floor. On the other hand, tiles need to be cut, laid individually, grouted, and left to cure.

Porcelain is a relatively affordable, mid-range countertop material. It typically costs between $50 to $70 per square foot.

Compared to quartz, porcelain is slightly more affordable, as quartz generally ranges from $50 to $200 per square foot. However, lower-quality, builder's grade quartz can be similar in price to porcelain.

Compared to granite, the price can be similar, depending on the quality of the stone. While granite slabs can range from $50 to $200 per square foot, you can find lower-end granite in the same price range as porcelain. High-end granites will cost significantly more.

Porcelain is generally more expensive than laminate, acrylic, and ceramic, but less expensive than high-end slate, concrete, and marble. A key benefit is that porcelain does not require sealing, which reduces long-term maintenance costs.
