"They did a fabulous job. I had an overgrown landscape and weeds. The first day they cleared the fence line, weeded the flowerbeds and removed dead/sick foliage and pruned some trees. The second day they spread mulch and also mowed/edged, I didn't know my yard was so big. Mr Lopez stayed with his quote. The value was there. Mr Lopez was polite, dependable and I would definitely hire his team again."

"Matt McKenzie with Southern Grounds Team did a wonderful job installing a waterfall feature for our circular driveway. He and his team, were professional, courteous, and efficient. The job exceeded our expectations and the final product is now the envy of the neighborhood. I highly recommend Matt McKenzie / Southern Grounds Team (210) 480-9225."

"Prep work and pool plaster were great and was a good price for this area. her work done was not as good. New spider valve gasket failed after only two days. Sam has failed to glue gasket down. Also paid to have cracked cement base support removed and replaced and filter and pump leveled. Left filter leveled with boards. Would recommend again for pool prep work and plaster but not for other work."

"Got 4 estimates, Scenic Designs came in best. Wanted rock xeriscape on sloping parts of front yard to reduce mowing and improve curb appeal. Also removed overgrown front and back yard plantings. Daniel was responsive, kept me informed, sent pictures. Had good judgment. I will have him do more work on my property."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Lifespans vary by material and manufacturer, but pond liners last anywhere from 10 to 75 years. For example, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pond liners have a life expectancy of up to 20 years. Other types of pond liners, including those made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM), can last 40 to 50 years.

Even if you empty your pond before the winter, there’s a good chance it will refill naturally. It’s ideal in most cases, then, to leave water in your pond and winterize it instead. This method will prevent ice damage and protect wildlife. Plus, it’ll lessen the steps required to reopen your pond in the spring.

Because frogs require fresh water for survival, they can die from repeated exposure to swimming pool chemicals. Chlorine dehydrates frogs, which can lead to their deaths. To ensure frogs don’t hang out in your pool for long periods, safely remove them once you spot them in your pool and install a frog log so they can easily hop out on their own.

Natural swimming pools are designed to deter pests, including mosquitoes. While any body of water can potentially attract pests, the natural filtration system keeps the water clean and constantly moving. Mosquitoes specifically are attracted to standing water, so the continuously circulating water in a natural pool makes it an inhospitable environment for them.

Yes, waterfall edges are still in style and even considered a kitchen classic. At one time, they were considered trendy, but now homeowners appreciate them for their timeless appeal, which adds value to your home.
