Customers say: Quick response

"Victor is fantastic! His work is true quality. He is there when he says he will be there. My job started a few days prior to Victor's part of the job and the tile contractor did not show from another company. I was left to do tile removal that I did not want to do (I am a lady on the smaller side). When Victor did show up as planned, I really wanted to hug him. He repaired my drywall, laid my beautiful laminate flooring and solved several issues related to my beautiful new baseboards. Victor is wonderful!"

"He was extremely responsive. I called him in the late morning, and he was here early afternoon. Upon arrival he set straight to work and finished the job in a very timely manner. He was knowledgable, friendly and even shared some drywall repair secrets. His co-worker was quiet, polite, and knew his job as well as Curtis"

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Drywall tape is made of paper, while drywall mesh is made of fiberglass or metal. Drywall mesh patches are suitable for repairing small holes in drywall, while paper drywall tape holds a crease better for corners. You need joint compound to adhere drywall tape to the wall, while mesh patches may be self-adhesive.

Whether you need a drywall anchor depends on the specifics of your project, particularly what you're hanging and where. You do not need a drywall anchor if you can screw or nail the object directly into a wooden stud, as the wood provides sufficient support and stability. However, if there are no studs in the location where you plan to hang the item, you should use drywall anchors to ensure it is securely supported. For very lightweight objects, like small pictures, adhesive picture hanging strips can be a suitable alternative to anchors.

Some painters will repair minor drywall damage. For repair work of any kind, it’s a good idea to hire the professional required for the job. Many painters will have the materials on hand and can add them to the total cost. While you may save some money, there is a chance the work will be subpar compared to a professional who specializes in drywall.

It is possible to apply plaster on the interior or exterior of your home, but we don’t recommend it. Plaster is easy to apply in theory, but in reality, it can be a challenging material to work with, and it’s difficult to get the finished product to look clean, even, and smooth. Many DIYers end up calling in a professional afterward to touch up the area or even redo it entirely because of mistakes they made in the process. Hiring a plaster pro will cost more, but it’s usually the best option to achieve high-quality results.

The best tool for cutting a hole in drywall is a drywall saw. Its serrated blade and ergonomic design make it efficient for both straight cuts and more intricate shapes, ensuring clean and precise results in various drywall cutting applications.
