"Freddy, owner of Above Grade Landscaping is very professional and got the new sprinklers installed in a timely manner and they work beautifully and water the lawn so much more efficiently than the hose system we had before. I would highly recommend Above Grade Landscaping for any work you need done. Rest assured Freddy will meticulously create a beautiful work of art for your yard. He also went above and beyond by putting rocks behind my new shed since I would not be able to mow a 2 foot area of grass on the back and side of the shed, all at no charge. Thank you Freddy for a job well done."

"This crew did a fantastic job on our new yard. They leveled the ground, adjusted and realigned our sprinklers and checked the entire system, planted my flower bed, laid a huge amount of sod, and verified it was what we expected. The whole crew was very helpful, respectful and courteous. We were amazed at the amount of work they did in just a few days. We would recommend them to anyone needing any kind of landscaping."

"I have ACME Exteriors provide regular fertilizer support for a yard that they sodded in for me 4 years ago. Originally they provided me with a sprinkler system, a new fence, and the sodded yard. Everything has continued to be beyond my expectations from day 1. Not only do they provide a professional service but also continued support as needed after the fact. Thank you once again"

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Most bamboo can send roots down two to three feet into the ground. However, when stopping bamboo from spreading, the focus is on the runner roots or rhizomes. These roots are much shallower, staying 12 inches or less from the surface, so they’re easier to find and remove. But if you want to remove the bamboo entirely, you’ll have to dig out the full root system.

Yes, such as sod installation and erosion control for comprehensive site improvement.

A green home is one that focuses on conservation, with the goal often being net-zero carbon emissions and self-sustainability. It will often include some kind of self-generation equipment, like solar panels or a small wind turbine, high-efficiency electrical components and mechanicals, and high-quality insulation and air sealing to reduce the loss of conditioned air. Many green homes also include xeriscaping or rainwater collection to cut down on drainage and water consumption.

The most important thing to put under a rock garden is the appropriate soil. The specific soil needed will depend on the type of plants you’re growing as well as the environment you live in. You can also put non-woven or woven fabric under the rocks to add to the garden's structural stability.

You may need to lay sod on the areas you dug up once you get the okay from the contractor. It will take about 30 to 45 days for the sod to take root. Consult a local sod installer to get an accurate estimate of the timeline of your specific yard-enhancement project.
