We service and repair all major makes and models of appliances - Fully insured - Best prices in town Phone: (806) 241-3456 (CALL OR TEXT) Email: [email protected] Schedule an appointment today!

"I was going out of town on a Tuesday, & noticed the weekend before that my refrigerator was working right. On Monday morning shortly after 8:00a.m. I started looking for someone to come look at it. I called 8 different places, & no one would answer. Clay answered, & came that afternoon. He thought the coils just needed cleaned because it was still working, & they were awful. He told me that he thought that would take care of the problem, & to go out of town. He told me that when I got back 🏠 that if it still wasn't working correctly to let him know, & that he would come back. He came back the next week, & worked on it again. He recommended adding coolant to it, & told me that he thought I had a very small leak, & that this could work for a short time or for years. The refrigerator is only 9 years old. He gave me a great price, & for that & his kindness I was blessed that he answered his phone. I will be calling him again if I have any more appliance problems."

Lubbock Appliance Repair is here to SAVE YOUR APPLIANCE! The owner/operator, Michael Moore, is a Texas Tech graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Have your appliance fixed by a true professional! We try our best to have the part your appliance needs ON HAND! Our service charge includes the trip out to your home and as much time as is required to diagnose the problem. Once we have a definitive diagnosis we inform you of the repair cost using our flat rate pricing guide. We offer a full 1-YEAR parts and labor guarantee! If for any reason our repair fails within one year, we come out and do the repair again for free or apply the cost of the original repair towards repairing the underlying problem. Some exclusions apply such as damage from rodents, pests, and misuse. We use flat rate pricing for several reasons: 1. You know EXACTLY how much the repair will cost meaning there are no surprises and you can make an INFORMED decision to repair or replace 2. The price does not change if it takes longer than usual to complete a repair 3. Repairs are priced using industry standard rates, which we then discount

"Repairman first diagnosed bad bearings & seal - then it changed to bad bearings & bad drive shaft - then added corroded water hoses that was actually causing the leak but recommended we replace the bad bearings & driveshaft as they weren’t going to last much longer. Estimate was $400 for a $1,000 6 yr old Kenmore washer so my husband ok’d the repair but within just a few minutes my husband text me the washer was no longer repairable as the “professional repairman broke something from the very beginning .. all this transpired within minutes of his arrival - told my husband not many repairmen would’ve attempted this type of repair (which he didn’t Mention until after he broke it when all it actually needed were new hoses- paid the $92 service fee & he told my husband if we bought a new washer from them, they would apply the service fee we paid to it, pick up the broken washer (that he broke) & install it for free - He shouldn’t have charged the fee to begin with since he broke it - was not going to give them anymore of my money nor would I ever recommend them or use them again - I chose them because of their good reviews on Angie’s List"

Appliance Repair questions, answered by experts

No, you should not run two refrigerators on the same circuit as it is likely to overload the circuit and cause the breaker to trip or worse—cause an electrical fire. Each standard-size refrigerator should be on a dedicated 20-amp circuit. You should never plug a refrigerator into an extension cord or power strip as it can cause serious safety hazards. Refrigerators have built-in surge protection that safeguards them from the damage of power surges.

Some new appliances you add during a home improvement project may qualify for tax breaks. You could receive a tax deduction if the appliances are going into a rental property. If the appliances qualify for energy-efficiency tax breaks, you may also be able to take a tax break.

When replacing an old unit, you might want to switch from a gas water heater to an electric water heater or vice versa. To do this, you will likely need to add infrastructure to the area. For example, you likely don’t have a gas line that served your old electric water heater. You’d have to call a plumber to put in a new gas line. If you’re replacing a gas unit with an electric one, the plumber will need to safely cap the old gas line. You will then need an electrician to add wiring for the new electric unit.

If you're replacing an old built-in oven with a new one of the same size and type, you'll only need to pay for the new oven's cost. However, if your new built-in oven is a different size or type, you might need to pay for construction updates or the cost of a new outlet or gas line.

The safest option is to let a technician conduct the inspection. However, if you are certain that the capacitor failed and you take all precautions to avoid electric shock, you can take a look yourself. Usually, you can open the front panel of the unit and use a flashlight to find the small capacitor cylinder. It should have a sticker on it that provides its product number, capacity, and similar information that you can note when talking to a contractor.
