I called them and they had someone there in a couple of hours (THE SAME DAY!). The technician, Chase, knew right where the problem was, and how to get at it on our Samsung fridge. It was fixed and working perfectly in a little over an hour! Great company. Will definitely call them if I ever need appliance repair again. Highly recommend these folks.

I have a Samsung electric dryer with a 5 year extended warranty from Sears. They refused to come out and take my dryer apart looking for a rotten smell. My exterminator refused to help. Chase from Davis Appliance came and took the dryer apart. He found a broken belt and replaced it. The smell was coming from the vent. Chase , took his time and helped me clean the outside vent where we found a rotten snake in the outside vent. He threw he it away for me. He really went beyond the call of appliance repair. No one else would help but he did. The bill was modest for all the work and extended work he did. I would hire them from now on for any of my appliance needs and plan to never by an extended warranty from Sears again. I also will be looking for a new exterminator. Great service beyond the call of duty.

Super fast response, and the repairman was great - he came up with a temporary solution to get the fridge working again while we waited for the necessary part to arrive. He had to make a couple of visits, but the repair ended costing even less than his initial estimate.

Davis Appliances had someone here within two hours. The tech found the problem (compressor relay switch which the tech replaced) and had the fridge up and running in 15 minutes. So, yeah.

Responded promptly, diagnosed problem as bad computer control board and ice door motor. Quoted repair cost the next day and I gave them the go-ahead based on the quote. They ordered the parts and were back within a week to install. All problems fixed. I think the price quote was very reasonable, but I gave a "B" for price because after the work was complete, they charged $15 more than quoted because they "forgot" to include shipping in the quote. Also note that they add a 3% surcharge if you want to use a credit card.

Usually we can do our own repairs but sometimes you don't have time. This repair was completed within an hour of my call. Nobody gets repairs done that fast usually, but they had service personnel nearby on another call. so my repair was done asap and now the moisture is drying and I got some free advice to boot, so I am a happy customer. No problems - spent a lot of time cleaning coils and troubleshooting. Did work on large refrigerator as an add-on service without complaint and saved me a separate service call

I am extremely pleased with the service I received. Cindy, who I spoke to on the phone to schedule, was very professional and courteous. James, the service technician, was very knowledgeable and professional. I will be recommending Davis Appliance to others that I know and will be using them for any future needs.

Chase came by and was very professional.  He looked at the issues and repaired as needed ...... I had called 2 other appliance service companies and one told me to just replace the $10,000 refrigerator and the other telling me to buy a $1300 icing kit plus labor would be $3000.   The icing kit online would only be $310 so I was feeling the love there.   So next called R and B appliance repair and Matt suggested Davis appliance repair for this particular fridge and so I called them and Chase was out in just a couple of hours.  Total cost was only $150 ...... there was a hose that had come off on the defrost drain pan.

Everyone at the company was very professional, courteous and as helpful as they could be, including the office staff. The problem we had started with the fact that the original board is no longer made, although a replacement part is available, but is notably different than the original that failed.

The technician who came to the house identified the problem as coming from the computer or a communication device. His boss was certain that the problem was with the computer and the technician returned with the replacement unit. Upon installing it, he couldn't figure out where a couple of wires should be connected as the configuration was different than the original. He promised to return the next day with his boss, but the boss was not available for four more days.

When the boss came, he confirmed the work of the original technician but also had difficulty hooking up the last two wires. After calling the tech rep at the distributor or manufacturer he recognized what needed to be done and completed the work quickly.

My only concern was the inability of the technician to immediately diagnose the problem and then to do the installation. The whole process required three visits to the house over several days. The oven is a GE builder's grade and I expected that they would have been more familiar with it and the solution.

Freezer was icing up due to clogged defrosting drain line. Davis deiced the freezer, cleared the drain line clog and add a heat conductor through the drain line so the so future freeze up will not accur.

Setting the appointment was easy. Cindy was very friendly. The technician showed up on time. He didn't have the part on the truck. He came back the next day with the part but it did not fit. He called me to give me the status. Cindy also called me to give me a status. The technician went back to the parts store and found that it was indeed the correct part. He came back later the same day and altered the part to make it fit. He cleaned up after he was done.
This was the first time using Davis and I would use them again (hopefully not too soon).

They stuck to price quoted on the phone and did a neat and professional job.

They removed the water valve installed the previous day, voided their bill for the water valve, and only charged me a service call fee of $85. I felt they had been honest with me and would use this company again.

The leak was taken care of very quickly.

We have an expensive Kenmore bottom freezer with French doors that is only 5 years old. On 7/17/2013 we smelled an electric burning smell and my husband unplugged it and sprayed the relay with W-40 and tapped it in case it was stuck. That stopped the burning and it was working intermittently. We discovered that the freezer wasn't cold enough and put that food into an extra freezer we have. The next morning we saw the refrigerator wasn't cooling well either and the temp was up to 43 degrees, so we put the food on ice in coolers. After checking on Angies list we called Davis and the tech told us on the phone it was either the compressor (an $800 repair) or the relay- a repair under $200. We almost decided to forgo the $85 estimate and just buy a cheap refrigerator because we were disgusted that this new of a refrigerator could already be shot and we thought it was more likely that it was the compressor.
We decided just for peace of mind to go ahead with the appointment. Glad we did. It turned out to be the relay, not the compressor and we really like our refrigerator. My advice to anyone is that they don't make them the way they used to and we will never spend over $500 for a refrigerator again. Appliances are made in other countries with cheap parts and just don't hold up. so don't waste
your money. Prior to this repair my husband had to take the back panel off and lubricate the fan that stopped turning a couple of
times..(which would have been more repair bills if my husband didn't know how to fix that) .We used to think Kenmore was a reliable brand, but not now. They were at our house about 20 minutes and replaced the cheap plastic relay part. I'm not sure $169.00 wasn't a little high, but a whole lot better than the $800 compressor would have been. They did seem to know what they were doing and I would definitely use them again and refer them to others. Maybe you get what you pay for.

David repaired the washing machine as it would not drain. He arrived at the appointed time and was able to fix the wash machine on the spot. David cleaned up the area when he finished. I would use Davis Appliance Servce again.
