"Pricing ended up being a bit higher than their sight-unseen quote based on my description, but I can't necessarily hold that against them. The work done was great (ran a circuit to my detached garage and installed a mini split there). On-site quote was given and work finished in the same day."

"Streamline’s plumber did a stellar job!! He solved, quickly and easily, a problem that had stumped another well-known local plumber. And he was a pleasure to get to know—personable and knowledgeable. We could not be better pleased, and we will definitely turn to Streamline when we need next need plumbing or electrical services!"

"Ed Riley is extremely knowledgeable about what causes lighting and how to protect from it. He explained to me which and how structures develop static electricity that lead to lighting discharges in a way that the physics made sense to me. They were also reasonably priced and kept their word. Definitely recommend them."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

On average, the cost to run electricity to an above ground pool is about $1,000. Certain factors can increase or cut these costs. For example, a larger pool or one farther from your house may require additional trenching for wiring, bringing costs as high as $4,000. On the other hand, a standard-sized pool closer to your home may only cost $350 to hook up to electricity.

Hire an electrician the same way you would an employee. Ask questions and look for a good fit. Streamline the process by using these questions to ask an electrician. It's also common to ask for a quote in writing. Don’t forget to provide all the project details to ensure there are no surprises or opportunities for added fees.

Your breaker box houses the breakers that control the circuits in your home, shutting them off if they overload or experience similar problems. Your meter box houses your electrical meter that monitors the electricity flowing into your house and measures its use for your utility company.

In some cases, both components are in the same box, but they don’t have to be together. Many homes have them split, with the breaker box inside for easier access and the electric meter outside.

Yes. You can connect your home back-up battery to a generator with its designated charger. Be sure that the output of the generator matches the input requirements for the battery for best results.

To avoid drilling into wire, you will need to trace your home's wiring using a stud finder, wire detector, circuit tracer, or voltage finder. Since locating wires in your home can be difficult for some homeowners, hire a professional electrician with the experience and knowledge needed to safely handle electrical systems before drilling into any walls in your home.
