"Misael Gomez - 512-696-6128 Did a spring clean up in both my front and back yard. Cleaned out flower beds, laid down weed barrier and brought in black mulch. Trimmed Crepes, weeded, and raked up tons of leaves that were over two inches deep. They worked very hard and I was very pleased with their services. I will definitely use them again. Call Misael - They will treat you right."

"I had a yard and roof full of leaves - 7 large trees on a regular size urban lot and gravel mulched beds covered with leaves. Roof gutters were full of leaves. We walked the yard together. Rob listened carefully and gave a reasonable bid. He came back a few days later and did a quick, superb job. He was honest, quick, thorough, and charged reasonably. I paid him more than he charged. Price noted below is what he charged. I gave a tip beyond that."

"I had a fantastic experience with J&R Hauling company from start to finish. They were the first to respond to my request for backyard junk removal, which immediately set them apart. Their team arrived right on time, and both crew members were incredibly friendly, personable, and professional. What really impressed me was how thorough and methodical they were. They took the time to make sure everything was handled properly and even checked in to confirm I didn’t have any additional items that needed to be removed. It’s clear they take pride in doing the job right. They worked efficiently without cutting corners and had everything cleared out much faster than I expected. On top of that, their pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the high level of service they provided. Thanks guys! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing junk removal—reliable, courteous, and truly top-notch service."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Lead removal can take a few days to several weeks, depending on the work needed, particularly if the lead is widespread and in hard-to-reach areas.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

You do not have to remove lead paint if the surface is not chipping or peeling or if there are no pregnant people or children under the age of six who live in or regularly visit your home. Lead paint is a particular risk for young children whose brains and bodies are not fully developed. Experts strongly recommend that you call a pro to remove lead paint if it’s peeling or flaking, no matter who lives in the home. You can experience lead poisoning by breathing in or ingesting just a small amount of it.

Government regulations such as the EPA and OSHA govern lead removal procedures to ensure health and environmental safety during and after abatement.
