"Misael Gomez - 512-696-6128 Did a spring clean up in both my front and back yard. Cleaned out flower beds, laid down weed barrier and brought in black mulch. Trimmed Crepes, weeded, and raked up tons of leaves that were over two inches deep. They worked very hard and I was very pleased with their services. I will definitely use them again. Call Misael - They will treat you right."

"A team of four guys came to trim trees and clear brush. As many homeowners do nowadays, I was concerned that not too much of each tree be removed and the integrity of each tree shape be preserved. They had an impeccable eye and left them looking sculptural but clean. A difficult balance to achieve. My yard was left with a really high-end look that neighbors commented on favorably. They also cleaned up after themselves left my property looking great. Nice guys….easy to work with !!!"

"Tech replaced the suspension rods on my Samsung WA50R5400AV washer and fixed the UB error. He used non-OEM parts, but he stood by them and the machine is now running fine. After the repair he casually brought up adding gas dryer vent/internal cleaning plus refrigerator coil cleaning, making it sound like a small, inexpensive add-on. I agreed. He later quoted $500 ($249 for dryer + $249 for refrigerator). After some back-and-forth we settled on $350. This is the red flag: No price was ever quoted or confirmed before the extra work started. If he had told me the real cost upfront, I would not have agreed to it. Their website promises ?clear quote before any work begins? and ?no hidden fees,? but that didn?t happen. The washer repair was decent and the parts are working so far (done June 1, 2026), but the add-on was pitched and priced in a misleading way. I ended up spending over $800 total when I only needed the washer repair. Very disappointed with the lack of transparency.."

"Please thank Rusty for me. I had thought customer service was a thing of the past and he proved me otherwise. I am very happy with our new putting green. They did a great job of putting it in and came in at a great price!"

"We cannot say enough great things about Southern Turf Co! This was our second time using them for a project because they did such an amazing job the first time around. Aaron and his crew managed to complete the project in one day, including adding a putting green for us to play with. Aaron even came out about a week after the project completed to personally take care of some turf anchors that were pulling up. Now, instead of a dead area filled with wood chips, we have a prime play area for our kids to grow up with!"

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

While tipping junk haulers is not required or expected, it is a greatly appreciated gesture for a job well done. Many junk removal companies state that tips are welcome but not mandatory. A good rule of thumb is to tip between 10% and 20% of the total bill, or a flat amount of $10 to $20 per worker. For exceptional service, a tip of $20 to $50 for the entire crew is also appropriate. It is often best to give cash directly to each worker at the end of the job.

Consider tipping if the crew:

  • Goes above and beyond your expectations.

  • Handles heavy, bulky items or navigates difficult spaces like tight hallways or stairs.

  • Works in inclement weather or deals with potentially hazardous materials.

  • Takes extra care to protect your home and property.

  • Accommodates a last-minute scheduling change.

Leaf removal isn’t always necessary, and what you should do with leaves in your yard depends on the number of trees you have. Leaving a small amount of leaves to decompose on your property can add nutrients to the soil and help grass, plants, and trees thrive. However, large accumulations of leaves can promote mold and fungal growth, so you should do at least two fall cleanups if you have many trees on your property.

It may sound icky, but yes, urine encourages microbial activity that breaks down organic matter faster. It’s rich in nitrogen, which helps balance carbon-heavy materials like dry leaves or straw. Use sparingly and apply it to a well-balanced pile, not one already high in nitrogen.

Yes, removal services can handle projects like estate clearouts or major renovations.

Foxtail grasses grow annually, making their appearance in the first months of the year from January through April. They dry out by late spring, which is when they are the biggest threat to your pets. However, some of these pesky foxtail weeds are perennial and live for several seasons before dying out.
