I would like to introduce myself as Leonel Gonzalez, with 7 years of experience in the construction industry. I’ve worked in remodeling of courthouses in Texas which consisted of carpentry such as installing baseboards, cabinets, window trims, custom doors and other furniture. Therefore I also have experience in paint and stain jobs. Considering my self a responsible, honest, and respectful person towards others everything I do is to provide for my family.

"Arjon Painting was a complete life saver. I had a tenant do a lot of damage to just one bedroom and I just needed texturing. We had a quote from one contrator and one that showed up, but never heard from either one. I posted to Anji's list stating it was a small job hoping I could get anyone to come texture this room. He called me right away and came out and gave me a quote. He came out the next day and got it done in just a few short hours. It looks amazing and it is nice to know that there are some contrators willing to do small jobs to help out people in need! I could not have done this without him. He was polite, friendly and very punctual. He always called me to let me know he was on his way, which I appreciated. For me acknowledgement is huge and the other two contractors could have just sent me a text to say they were not interested, but did not have the courtesy to do that. I would highly recommend Arjon Painting and not the other two that I will not name."

The number of coats you need to apply when whitewashing a surface depends on how opaque you want the final product to be. How long limewash will last depends on the quality of the application and the porosity of the surface. For example, a limewash on brick will last five to seven years. If it's a home exterior application, exposure to specific weather conditions is also a factor. Limewash tends to develop a patina over time, and its natural look masks damage and imperfections well.

Sealing a deck is better than staining in terms of protection. Stain on its own does nothing but change the color of wood, while sealing protects wood from moisture, insects, and UV damage. If you want to stain your wood, consider a stain-and-sealant-in-one to change your deck's appearance while protecting it from the elements. Reapply stain and sealant once every year or two.
