"Joshua VillaLobos repaired a wobbly drive through gate and a walk through gate for the wooden fence in my backyard. He adjusted the latches and fixed the gates so they wouldn't say or drag the ground. He did a great job and made sure I was pleased with his work. I also asked him if he could do another project for me while there, and he had the tools to do this unexpected request. Joshua was professional in every way, he showed up at the time agreed, worked steadily with expertise, knew exactly what materials were needed for the work I needed done, and charged me a fair and reasonable price. He's also a very nice man with a pleasing personality, and I felt comfortable in his presence."

"Great roofing crew. They were constantly cleaning up. Ran the nail magnet around our house several times. Hope we don't have to, but we'd hire this crew again if we needed to."

"Jason was very friendly but his painters rush and did not do a high quality job witch is what we paid for. The painters got paint on a lots of things on surfaces that were not supposed to have that color of paint and that we still trying to take off. Update: Jason did everything he could to make this situation right. He came and took pictures of the mistakes so that they can improve in the future and gave us a partial refund to make up for the extra work we had to do to fix things. Jasonâ  s customer service is top notch and will make it right if you arenâ  t satisfied."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

It’s necessary for paint to completely dry before exposure to rain, and that drying time varies by the type of paint used. Oil-based paint takes 6 to 8 hours to dry on average, meaning that’s the minimum time needed between the last brush stroke and the first raindrop. Latex paint dries faster at around 1 hour, and acrylic paint is even quicker, usually drying in about 30 minutes. If rain is in the forecast, check the paint manufacturer's details before laying on a new coat.

It's okay to walk on a newly painted deck after about four to six hours as long as the weather has been dry. Be sure to wait at least 24 hours before you place any outdoor furniture or grills on a freshly painted deck, though.

By applying protective finishes and using durable materials that withstand weather and time.

An exterior paint job typically lasts between 5 and 10 years, though this can range from 3 to 17 years depending on several factors. The longevity is influenced by the quality of the paint and primer, the quality of the application, the local climate, and the type of surface being painted. For example, paint on wood siding may need to be redone every 3 to 7 years, while painted brick can last up to 17 years. Aluminum siding often needs repainting every 5 years.

Generally, these steps are included in exterior house painting:

  • Prepping and protecting the areas not being painted

  • Scraping away loose paint

  • Cleaning off dirt, grease, and debris

  • Caulking gaps and openings

  • Priming with a quality paint primer

  • Painting the prepared areas, including trim and accents with chosen paint finish

  • Adding a second coat

  • Cleaning up the site and disposing of tape, plastic, and drop cloths
