"Technician installed the heater without any issues, but was unable to get it to work with the remote control unit. He blamed it on a faulty temperature sensor or bad control board and left it in manual mode. After he left, I read through the installation instructions and figured it out. The software for the heater was not configured properly to recognize the signal coming from the control board. Once the setting was changed in the heater control panel, everything worked as it should."

"They arrived on time and advised the most logical placement of the fixtures. The deal was for the install of 4 recessed lights at $499 and I wanted two extra, which they charged an extra $340 for. I thought this was a little high since they were already cutting holes and running wire and the cost of the actual LED light fixtures is only about $25 at Home Depot, but I needed it done, so I went ahead with it. They also had to drill two extra holes in my kitchen ceiling where no lights were placed in order to run the wire because of the way the beams in my kitchen ceiling ran. They did this without telling me, but since I already needed to have sheet rock repair done on my kitchen ceiling, it was not a big deal. The only real complaint I have about the work was that they left quite a bit of mess behind (sheet rock dust and pieces). Overall, I think they did a good job and I would hire them again."

"Norris pools did an amazing job on my pool project.  I purchased a foreclosed home that had a pool with significant deferred maintenance.  When I purchased the home, the pool was green and had a pump and filter that barely worked.  I was very nervous about the expense of restoring the pool.  I first called Norris pools back in March and within a few days they promptly provided me with a free estimate.  Rather than upsell me, they told me how I could save money on the project.  Once the renovation of the home interior was complete, I called Norris Pools to begin the pool project.  Norris Pools began work when they told me they would come and did an amazing job.  The pool now has new plaster and looks like how a pool should look. I have received several compliments on the pool  The project stayed on budget as well.  And even though my home was outside their service area, Norris Pools contracted with another vendor in the area to provide pool service at a reasonable cost.  I am very pleased with the job that Norris Pools did on my project and would not hesitate to use them again.  I highly recommend their service."

"The pool was tested for leaks and it was determined that the main drain line as well as the skimmer baskets were losing water. The main drain was plugged until the repair could be done and the skimmer baskets were sealed to the structure. They were very professional and efficient."

Sauna Installation questions, answered by experts

Both saunas and steam rooms offer some health benefits as well as a good return on investment. While there’s more research on saunas than steam rooms and fewer reported risks with steam rooms, the latter tend to be better for reducing stress. Which one is better depends on the benefits you’re looking for, your budget, and if you have space to build a sauna.

The primary difference between a steam shower and a sauna is the type of heat they produce. A sauna generates dry heat using electricity, while a steam shower creates wet heat from steam, resulting in nearly 100% humidity. A steam shower typically replaces an existing shower, has an opening at the top, and operates at a lower temperature (around 90-120°F) than a sauna, though the high humidity can make it feel just as warm. It is advisable to limit steam sessions to 20 minutes. In contrast, a sauna is a fully enclosed space that can be placed anywhere in a house and produces dry heat.

It will take several hours or more to build a sauna. A prefab kit will take anywhere from three to 20 hours to install, depending on complexity and your skill level. If you’re doing a custom build, it can take more than 50 hours—especially if you need to add ventilation, ductwork, and other renovations.

Most people will opt to put their home sauna outside near a pool or on a screened-in porch so the heat doesn’t move into the rest of the house. If your house has enough room, you may choose to put it in a bathroom so you can shower right after.

A home sauna may be considered a luxury item by some homebuyers, which can provide a good return on investment. However, whether it increases your home's value ultimately depends on the buyer, as some may not want to take on the extra costs and maintenance associated with heating and upkeep.
