"I recently researched the Weimar, Columbus, Schulenburg area for a good fence company to replace approximately 7,000 feet of old barbed wire fencing with new Hog wire fencing using StaTite 50 Fixed Knot Hog Wire Fencing. (A 50-year Fence). I found M. C. Fence and Deck and was quite pleased with their immediate attention to the work I had requested. Very prompt visit and proposal and the work I requested came out better than I anticipated. Chase is great to work with. While he was working the fence replacement, I had him look at an addition to my back porch. He built a very good-looking deck, very sturdy and professionally done. I then had Chase refurbished my front porch by replacing 3 metal post with 4 - 6 x 6 solid cedar post. Chase is a perfectionist and I would highly recommend using him for your fencing and deck projects."

"I had never needed this kind of work so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. The work was the highest quality and a more reasonable price than I had assumed. I'd give a higher score if I could."

"We are thrilled with the work they did for us!! Created a beautiful stone fire pit, walkway, and flower boxes under the windows as well as matching stone skirting around a tree out front. Extended our sprinkler system to the whole backyard and they even moved the huge swing-set to the other side for us. We absolutely love it! Can’t wait to plant some fall flowers!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

If your fence in La Grange has leaning posts, warped or missing boards, or persistent gate alignment issues, it’s time to consider fence repair or replacement. Watch for wood rot after humid Texas summers or rust on metal fencing. Scheduling projects in early spring or fall helps avoid peak heat, and planning ahead is important if you must meet HOA or pool safety guidelines.

Helpful?

La Grange offers a range of fencing contractors, including those specializing in residential, ranch, security, ornamental, and pool fencing. Some contractors are experienced with local soil conditions and drought-resistant materials, which are important in TX. Always ask about their familiarity with city ordinances and request references from recent La Grange fence installation or repair projects to ensure quality results.

Helpful?

For minor fence repairs in La Grange, you can reattach loose pickets with weather-resistant screws, tighten gate hardware, and clear away overgrown brush to prevent future damage. Always inspect for signs of termite activity and check for shifting soil after heavy rains. Wear gloves, sturdy shoes, and long sleeves to protect against local hazards like fire ants or snakes. Leave major repairs or structural fixes to local professionals.

Helpful?

Installing or upgrading fencing in La Grange can significantly enhance curb appeal and property value, especially with durable materials like cedar or vinyl. Privacy and pool fences are particularly attractive to buyers, offering added safety and a sense of security. For rural homes, well-maintained ranch fencing is a plus. Ensuring your fence meets local standards and is professionally installed can further boost resale appeal.

Helpful?

Before contacting a fencing contractor in La Grange, gather your property survey, note any HOA or deed restrictions, and mark utility lines. Measure the fence line, identify any slopes or drainage issues, and decide on gate placements. Check local permit and setback requirements, especially if you live near downtown or in a historic area. Document your preferred materials, project timeline, and any specific style preferences to streamline the process.
