I WAS GIVING A WRITTEN 3 MONTH WARRENTY CONTRACT BY LAURA JACQUELIN ,I WAS TOLD IT WOULD TAKE 3 DAYS,BUT THEY DID A RUSH JOB IN 8 HRS.THEY PUT THIN FLIMSIE GUTTERS, I WANTED HANGERS ON THIER TO HOLD THEM IN PLACE BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT AS STURDY AS THE OTHER ONES.THEY WOULD NOT PUT THEM ON THIER. THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE NOT ON THE OTHER GUTTERS,THESE WAS THICKER METAL .THE WARRENTY WAS FOR ALL GUTTERS,THEY DID NOT DO THE ONE ABOVE MY BACK DOOR,THEY SHOWED ME THE SCREWS,THEY WERE THE WRONG ONES,HE EXCHANGED THEM,I DO NOT KNOW IF HE PUT THE RIGHT ONES ON THIER.I AM HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY GUTTERS.I HAVE TRIED CALLING THEM SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY JUST IGNORE MY PHONE CALLS AND HANG UP ON ME.THE GUTTER IS NOT DRAINING THE WATER OUT TO THE END,IT IS POURING DOWN THE SIDE OF MY TRAYLOR.

The previous review was from a letter I sent to the Angi's service. I believe they posted it. Below is my final personal assessment and the results of the Angi's investigation. The best way to describe the way this Houston, Texas based small company does business would be "storm chasers." Here today and gone tomorrow. They rebuilt two gates and a section of fence for me. It looked okay at first, but soon fell apart. I realized what a poor quality job that was done. After numerous attempts by phone and email to get them to come back and fix what they messed up, they promised but were always no-shows. I found them on Angi's, which is generally a very reliable referral service. Since this has happened, Angi's did their investigation and are terminating this company from their service for non-compliance. I believe this is a shady and unreliable company and you will take a chance in hiring them.

A verbal contract was agreed upon for Lara's Remodeling & Concrete to rebuild two wooden gates, both located on opposite sides on the house. Approximately 4-5 feet of fence was also to be replace on one side, as it had subsided. This was the gate near the driveway. Both of the actual gates were salvageable. I also requested they stain the new fencing. I purchased and supplied the stain ($45). I was emailed the invoice from Ms. Lara upon completion of the job and paid the worker (Mr. Hugo) by check . One gate is next to a neighbor's house and the other is next to my driveway. I had only walked through the gate near the neighbor once when they finished the job and did not go through that gate until about 3-4 weeks after the job was completed. I was unable to open this gate from the outside at that time as it had shifted inward. I had to approach this gate from the backyard and push the post toward the brick on the house which allowed this gate to be open. I surmised this posted had not been properly cemented. At this time I sent Ms. Lara an email (9-8-24) advising her of the issue. She responded the next day by email that Mr. Hugo would go at a later date and time to correct the issue. She advised that she would call me. I never received a call or email from Ms. Lara. After waiting at least a week and finally called her inquiring when my fence was to be repaired. Ms. Lara told me that Mr. Hugo was out due to being sick with COVID. Ms. Lara promised me that she would notify me of a date and time when Mr. Hugo would return to my house to correct the problems. As I understood Mr. Hugo would be out for at least a full week, I decided to wait until I heard something. One of the things I noticed in this repair job was that Mr. Hugo installed small fence door hinges and small latches on both gates. This has turned out to be cheap and inadequate hardware. As time has passed, I noticed the hinges on the driveway side gate starting to sag slightly. I have had to put my foot under the gate and lift up in order to latch the gate. This is unacceptable and a properly installed fence gate should not be doing less than two months after installation. I send Ms. Lara another email on 9-27-24 describing this newly discovered issue problem. Of course as in previous outreaches, I received no response. I called her by phone the first of the next week and she promised Mr. Hugo would come out to my house the morning of 10-4-24 to fix the problems. Mr. Hugo did not show up for his scheduled appointment at my house, nor did anyone give us the common custody to call and say why he had not showed up. I called Ms. Lara at 2:40pm to ask why no one had showed up at my hose as promised. Lara told me they had to take Mr. Hugo's kid to the hospital for some unknown reason. I informed Lara they have constantly avoided fixing the substandard work that was done. I asked her if she had another worker to correct the issues I was complaining about. She did specifically say she did or did not have another worker at this time. I also noticed she was starting to get aggravated I was calling her. She informed me that she would contact my later to set up another appointment. As of the date (10-13-24) I have received no other communication from the owner of this company,

Work was done promptly and at cost (so no hidden fees). when the work was done we did a walk through and I was pleased with the results.

Laras remodeling and concrete I have hired them for several projects. They did an additional to my home, concrete driveway and my fence. The owners are very honest, people person, understand and welling to work with you. I do recommend.
