Recently relocated to Grayson County. We've been serving Texas and other states for 13 years in building ground up commercial buildings, additions, and renovations. We specialize in structural steel fabrication and erection, custom steel fabrication, gates and entryways. We were designing and building Barndominiums before people knew what they were. We do the job right or not at all. We guarantee our work, and we often takeover failing or abandoned projects and get the project completed. We've built and have tore down and rebuilt many very large churches. We've done a lot of historical renovations and dealt woth the historical regulations, etc. We've done a lot of work at The Grandscape in The Colony Tx. We worked on The Dallas Morning News, The Statler Hotel as well as many other hotels, high end retail and entertainment districts. \n We have worked and a General contractor holding responsibility for a project from conception to planning and development, through completion.

"I called Alex to remove existing tile and install new tile on my kitchen, utility room, and sunroom floors. He got samples and prices for me and we selected a rectified porcelain tile because I wanted the grout joints to be as narrow as possible. Alex quoted a fair price and did an amazing job. He and Jeronimo were timely, professional, and very detail-oriented. The layout of the rooms involved step-downs and many odd angles — it turned out better than I could have imagined. I will definitely call him back for my next project."

"This review reflects our mixed reaction to our dealings with Flooring Direct over the past year. During that period, they replaced flooring in 2 bedrooms with waterproof vinyl planks and in our foyer, hallway, kitchen and den with waterproof porcelain tile. The work took place over 5 separate installations. The actual work performed was either good (3 stars) to excellent (5 stars), depending on the installer. Carlos was the lead installer on 2 of the projects, both of which were excellent. The less than satisfactory interactions were with the sales people (1 star), who either submitted incomplete and/or incorrect sales order information, failed to follow up, or lied to me directly about the availability of product, installers, and/or timing of installation. Finally, our dealings with the installation manager were sometimes excellent and other times completely unsatisfactory (2 stars). While she was always pleasant on the phone, the initial jobs were handled as planned. On the last 2 installations, she failed to meet her commitments regarding installation. For example, she agreed to send Carlos to complete the porcelain tile job (at our request based on his excellent work). Instead, without letting me know, a completely different installation team showed up. Also, she failed to meet multiple installation dates she gave me, and again she didn't bother with any phone calls to tell me. When I called about it, she apologized repeatedly. But after repeated failures, an apology doesn't carry much weight. The company's prices seemed reasonable and the work product was not usually an issue. That said, I found dealing with their sales people, as well as the installation manager, to be disappointing and stressful. Since I called multiple times, I also found the incessantly repeating Hold message rather annoying after 10-20 minutes on Hold."

"We have our house on the market to sell, so before listing it, we wanted to get all of our carpets cleaned.  We have a small house (1-story, 1956 square feet), and the bedrooms are small as well.  The master bedroom has a built-in office, so 1/3 of that bedroom is tile.  I have used First Choice 2 times before and was VERY satisfied with everything they did.  Excellent customer service, and excellent work.  I was use to the way they did things and had no questions about calling them again.  This time didn't go as well. The first thing I noticed was that the technician was 40 minutes late without calling me.  Second thing I noticed was that he did not ever bother putting any shoe covers on as he walked back and forth from outside to inside as was always done in the past.  Thirdly, there were no drop cloths put down so that all of their hoses running through the house weren't lying directly on the floors as was always done in the past.  Some of the stains weren't coming up as well as I would have liked, so he did extra cleaning all over trying to get them, which I appreciated.  He said it would take about 4 hours to dry since he did more work.  2 days later, I could still feel dampness in our carpets, but had been needing to put things back to show the house.  I was really disappointed at the cost of this service.  I have never spent 357.25 on carpet cleaning in all the years I've done it because we only have 3 small bedrooms with carpet in our small home.  I went ahead and paid it because I already knew what the cost would be ... I just wasn't happy about it.  Maybe I just don't know the cost of carpet cleaning these days.  We're getting ready to move into a new house and cringe at the thought of having to clean the carpets before we move in!  I would use First Choice again, although, I would not want the same technician to be assigned to my house."

"What a pleasure to work with a true professional! Ken was timely, knowledgeable, informative, and nice to my two pesky dogs (he even brought dog treats). After assessing the situation, Ken emailed me an estimate before the end of the day. He did the job himself, and the results are outstanding. I got far better results than I could ever have imagined. Additionally, he taught me how to maintain the new finish and left the necessary product with me. As many of you know, slate maintenance can be quite tricky. Do not attempt to do this type of job yourself! Call Ken and have the job done right the first time. You will save time and money. He uses superior products unavailable at home centers or even tile distributors and gets superior results. This man has done his homework. Benefit from his knowledge and experience, and enjoy your beautiful floors!"

"Extremely happy with the whole process. I priced out similar flooring at a few other places and found Allen Floors to be less than most and was able to get a higher quality product than I was seeing elsewhere. Communication was excellent and felt "in the loop" during the whole process. A couple weeks later my boys managed to break a "T mold" that separates the laminate from the tile. Within days the piece was replaced at no additional cost to me. Great products, great communication, great service, and no surprise costs. Can't recommend enough.
