"Excellent!! Brad Matejek and Carnival Painting were superb!! Highly recommended. They were one of five contractors I contacted for bids for the work. His bid included all the elements I wanted and was among the lowest cost bids. I selected the brand of paint and his guys got to work, painting all the exterior trim, vertical siding above rock walls, door and window lentals, and front and back porches with columns and railings. They replaced an exterior door that had a water damaged frame and sill, and also painted a small storage building. After a series of weather-related delays (September and October wettest on record in San Antonio area), his crew got to work and completed the work in less than four days. It included power washing to remove mold (the crew also washed the rock exterior, the sidewalk and the outbuilding). They were very professional, cleaning up as they went and making sure there was no paint drops. I was in contact with Brad frequently but felt very confident in his on-site crew. They were courteous, addressed my questions and concerns, and got the work done in a very professional manner. I'd hire Carnival again - in fact, I've already referred a friend to them for his painting needs."

"Case number 19194290. Edgar, the owner, came and looked at what I wanted painted. Mainly touchups and shelf painting. He suggested power washing. I got a price in a few days. The bid was for another property that I do not own. I told him and Amber (his secretary, I guess) that was not my property. I kept getting price revisions for someone else’s property. Finally, I got a bid for my property. Told him the price was way too high. He cut the price in half. I later realized he had simply eliminated painting the shelves, something I needed done. We kept texting back and forth, trying to agree on what would be painted and what it would cost. He offered to do some power washing. We kept negotiating on price. No price or services included was ever agreed upon . One day Edgar called and said his guy was out there power washing. I was not home. I never agreed to any power washing as we had not finished negotiating. . Like I said, we were still negotiating. Naturally, I never expected work to start until we agreed on items to be included and price. He started talking very fast and very loudly. I kept telling him to slow down because I could not understand him. He kept yelling and talking fast. I told him I sensed he was angry but I could not understand what he was angry about. Then he hung up. I had taken pictures of the supposed “work” that I never agreed to. One is a wiping of my porch. Clearly it was not cleaned. The other is the deck still full of bird droppings. These were taken AFTER the supposed “work”. Amber sent me a bill for $2,500.today. Absurd amount. For “power washing “ that was poorly done? I sent copies of these pics and told her I had never authorized anyone from their company to do any work on my house. She said if I did not pay the $2,500 they would put a lien on my property."

Patrick and his team completed a laundry list of carpentry, siding, and painting tasks for us last week, and we are *thrilled* with the quality of their work, the great communication we got from them during the job, and their dedication to finding the right materials for the job even during a time of scarcity and high prices. Adrian led a friendly and capable group through pressure-washing, demolition of our old porch rail, assessment of and replacement of cedar siding planks, and painting of all the wood siding. Shelby and Adrian teamed up to create a wonderful new custom “livestock panel”-based porch railing to replace our old spindles-based one. And Hector repaired cracks in our limestone siding so beautifully that we hope to have him return to do similar repairs to our fireplace in the future. Everything was cleaned up and debris was hauled off when they finished, as promised in the contract. All in all, we appreciate that Patrick had people on his team who had the skills to manage all the different tasks that we needed done. It was a completely pleasant experience—good price for excellent workmanship, and everyone was easygoing and worked hard. We are looking forward to having them return to do some interior work for us in the future and will not hesitate to recommend them to family members and friends in the San Antonio area!"
