LANDIN PAINTING

Landin Painting is who my builder used to paint my newly constructed home.  They were terrible.  They did okay with the spray coat but when it came to detail, they were horrible.  They did not paint above door trim or the tops of doors.  The company who supplied my 8ft. solid wood doors told me that if the tops of the doors aren't painted, the warranty on my doors is void.  So guess who climbed on a ladder weeks after moving in and painted the tops of the doors, ME.  They did not paint above my master bath cabinets or below my floating vanity.  After moving in I found baseboards that were never painted or that were only primed and not painted.  I had so much excess caulk on my floors and around my windows that I literally filled a kitchen trash bag with it.  The caulk that they did use cracked everywhere and had to be replaced.  The company that installed my windows said it looked like Landin had a bad batch of caulk.  My baseboards, door frames and doors were painted in mutiple shades of the specified color.  I found areas on my exterior trim that was never painted.  They left a can of the trim paint in my garage, when I opened it to do touch up, it smelled like urine and had a yellow tint to it.  I had my builder get me another gallon of the trim paint and I repainted the trim throughout the interior of my house 8 months after moving into my home.  I used to be an interior painter so I know how to paint and how the finished product should look.  I think Landin Painting painted blindfolded.  I had so much paint splatter on my floor I had to go around on my hands & knees and pick it off my wood floors.  In my master bath around my soaking tub I found blue painters tape that had been caulked over and then painted, absolutely unexcussable.  I would not recommend Landin Painting to anyone unless you want to repaint it yourself.  Shame on my builder for using this terrible company.
