If you suspect your AC is low on refrigerant, you need to contact a licensed HVAC professional. Refrigerant is a dangerous chemical that requires specialized training and permits to work with. 

There are a few things you can do to make your AC repair technician’s job easier and your home more comfortable while you wait for AC repair:
