"I absolutely love my new fence. Thank you Texas Fence. I was not sure who to have install my fence. I found by researching Texas Fence that they have been in business for twenty years, are a member of the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating, and had wonderful reviews. Adriana Medina (sales consultant) came and took measurements. She listened to what I wanted in my new fence and made a few suggestions. She was very easy to talk to and knowledgeable about fences. Jose Garcia and his helper (fence installers) took down the old fence and put up the new fence. Jose put up a cedar board on board fence, made three walk through gates, and a double wide gate. Jose and his helper did a fantastic job. You can tell they take pride in their work. Les Perkins (project manager) answered any questions I had about the project. Dave Malcom (fence technician) came and did a little fine tuning. He also came up with a clever way to hide the 1 inch gap in the double wide gate that I could see into the backyard. I know that wouldn't bother anyone else, but it bothered me. Now, thanks to Dave, it's perfect. I would definitely recommend Texas Fence. I'm very pleased with my new fence."

"My wife and I needed a fence across our patio to keep the dogs from chewing on the back door. I had already replaced the door jamb once and was not wanting to do it again. I got in contact with cactus fence and they already had what I needed. I told them I needed it asap and they came out the next day. The fence looks nice and my back door is safe from the dogs. Thank you cactus fence for a job well done. I would recommend cactus fence to anyone needing work done."

Customers say: Quick response

"The laborers worked very hard to take the fence down and reinstall the new fence. We were quoted a price and Marc stood behind his word to stay in his bid. I would recommend these workers and company. Marc stated the project would take three days(weather permitting) and three days it was completed. A great fence makes for a peaceful neighborhood."

"Greenpath Landscapes did 3 jobs for me so far ! I reached out to Daniel and over because his work is just above and beyond. First was just a phone call to see who would move my sprinkler head for me - just needed one head moved. Even though Daniel is far from me ( am located in Baytown) He drove all the way just to move my one sprinkler head for me since I Was extending my patio. Excellent experience . He also pointed out yo my and educated me on my drainage system in my backyard . He wanted me to make sure I donâ t put the slab over the drainage â ¦. That was a free and caring advise from him even though he was not hired for the slab project ( only because I did not know if his company was into adding concrete ) So when I had drainage issue because my backyard is sloping in towards my patio and on rainy days water is not draining well, I called Daniel and he executed the project better than What I had anticipated . He was on time , brought all Supplies and figured the best efficient way to Place the pipes for max drainage and efficiency . Once completed he hoses my lawn ( made it rain. ) and double checked that the system in place was indeed working . Even sent me a videoâ ¦.. While he was there I showed him my busted wooden fence and also Asked for his help on securing my fence so my little 4 pound dog dies not escape from under the fence ! Wallahhhhh Daniel was there with wooden 2 x4 and solved the problem ! I was ecstatic because it gave me so much confidence that I can leave my doggy outside now and then without worrying Such a great feeling Such a great job And finally he will be back later in Feb 2023 to put sod on my grass where he accessed drainage He will make my yard green and safe and beautiful. I guess I wonâ t be hiring anyone else for my landscaping etc Very happy with Greenpath landscaping and their excellent exceptional service and attention to details . Also Daniel is a thoughtful caring guy who cares about the folks who hire him- he gives more and so one wants to hire him every time because he comes through every time and leaves you a happy customer ! Not to mention he sends you professional invoice etc Very very impressed . And he always gets back to you for job updates and progress . Very well rounded caring professional service !!!! Reach out to Daniel !"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The type of horse fence that’s most effective in the short term depends on your budget. Plastic fencing works as a temporary fence idea for those on a tight budget but doesn’t offer as much protection. Pipe fencing can be a short-term option as well. Despite its high cost, you can install and remove it easily if you need to relocate your pasture area.

Yes, you can use a floor jack to remove fence posts. Attach a stem to the base of the fence post so you can position the floor jack underneath. The stem can be a scrap piece of wood attached with nails or a sturdy nail itself. Put the jack beneath the stem and push the lever to lift up on the fence post and remove it from the ground.

You can weather a new wood fence by applying vinegar with steel wool as a way to fade some of the coloring. You may also find it easier to stain your entire fence a new color instead of trying to get newer fence boards to match an older one.

Yes, fence posts should be set in concrete to provide the proper support for the fence. If you notice your fence posts leaning, you’ll need to learn how to brace a fence post to fix the problem and prevent further damage from occurring. By bracing a fence post properly, you’ll provide stability and sturdiness to your fence for years to come.

How long a wood fence lasts depends on the type of wood and its style. The design of a shadow box fence makes it more durable than other fence types because the alternating pickets disperse the weight across the rails. As a result, you won’t have to worry as much about sagging or failing pickets. However, remember that the hollow design of a shadow box fence makes it more difficult to apply the sealer, which is crucial to extending its life.
