"I absolutely love my new fence. Thank you Texas Fence. I was not sure who to have install my fence. I found by researching Texas Fence that they have been in business for twenty years, are a member of the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating, and had wonderful reviews. Adriana Medina (sales consultant) came and took measurements. She listened to what I wanted in my new fence and made a few suggestions. She was very easy to talk to and knowledgeable about fences. Jose Garcia and his helper (fence installers) took down the old fence and put up the new fence. Jose put up a cedar board on board fence, made three walk through gates, and a double wide gate. Jose and his helper did a fantastic job. You can tell they take pride in their work. Les Perkins (project manager) answered any questions I had about the project. Dave Malcom (fence technician) came and did a little fine tuning. He also came up with a clever way to hide the 1 inch gap in the double wide gate that I could see into the backyard. I know that wouldn't bother anyone else, but it bothered me. Now, thanks to Dave, it's perfect. I would definitely recommend Texas Fence. I'm very pleased with my new fence."

"Selph Made Fences may not be the least expensive, but they are certainly the best quality and worth every penny! Tony and Al are both personable and knowledgeable, and the crew that came to install my fence was prompt, professional, and a "well oiled machine." I would highly recommend Selph Made Fences to anyone, and would hire them again without hesitation."

"Showed up on time, gave an honest appraisal of the condition of my fence, and the repairs he did were good quality. I agreed with his recommendation to totally replace my fence, but I decided to postpone while I got another quote.

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Quality fencing work in Pasadena is evident when fence posts are anchored deep enough to withstand strong winds, and all fasteners are corrosion-resistant for the humid climate. The fence line should be straight, with consistent height and secure panels. Proper fence installation includes observing required property setbacks, ensuring gates swing freely, and using materials that resist warping, rot, and pest damage common in TX.

Helpful?

Your Pasadena home is ideal for a fencing project if you have a recent property survey, stable ground, and minimal underground obstacles. Ample space for fence installation equipment and clear access points are important. If your property is not in a high-risk flood zone, and you’re prepared to follow local guidelines and HOA rules, your home is well-suited for a new privacy fence or security fence.

Helpful?

Signs that fence repair or replacement is needed in Pasadena include posts that wobble, panels that sag, or gates that no longer close properly. Visible issues like cracked boards, insect damage, or excessive rust on hardware are red flags. If the fence installation doesn’t meet local code, encroaches on setbacks, or creates safety hazards, it’s time to consider a new fence.

Helpful?

For fencing projects in Pasadena, knowing your exact property boundaries from a survey is crucial to avoid disputes. Understanding soil type helps determine post depth for stability, while identifying underground utilities prevents costly damage. Awareness of HOA restrictions, local permit requirements, and wind exposure informs material choices and fence design, ensuring your fence installation is both durable and compliant.

Helpful?

The property’s current features in Pasadena directly influence fencing decisions. Uneven terrain may require stepped or contoured fence installation, while clay-heavy soil might need reinforced posts. Existing landscaping, irrigation lines, and nearby structures affect fence placement and style. If your area is exposed to high winds or heavy rain, selecting reinforced or weather-resistant fencing materials is essential for long-term performance.
