"Very helpful and respectful. Came out in a timely manner. Prices were very reasonable! Would highly recommend. Pressure washed the front of our building and cartbsheds, replaced a few light fixtures, fixes several peices ofbsiding in my building and cart sheds, replaced some trim in the inside and painted some exposed area's and fixed the awning in my driveway."

"Jeremy is very professional, he had others helping and they all did a great job and quickly. My yard was a mess. Jeremy did a great job of plowing the arena also."

"Mike Blalock did an absolutely amazing job building my stone patio! From start to finish, he was professional, detail-oriented, and incredibly reliable. He showed up when he said he would, worked hard every day, and made sure everything was done exactly how I envisioned it. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and the finished patio is not only beautiful but also built to last. I couldn?t be happier with the results and highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for quality work done right the first time."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

It is possible to plant a tree over a ground stump if it was ground very deeply. However, it is typically best to plant elsewhere so your new tree has room to establish a strong, healthy root system. If you want to plant a tree in the same spot where you currently have a stump, you may want to consider other options, such as stump removal.

Yes, weeds can still grow in decomposed granite. If properly compacted, it can act as a good weed suppressant, meaning you’ll only pull weeds occasionally. But no ground cover is completely weed-proof. To further prevent weeds, you can try spraying your decomposed granite with distilled white vinegar.

Yes, many providers offer organic or eco-friendly treatments. Confirm availability with your contractor.

Consulting your local university extension, Audubon society, or municipal urban forestry program are all good ideas when choosing a tree to plant. You can also ask an arborist or a knowledgeable landscaping company for advice on good trees to plant.
