At my old house in Tyler, he 1) repaired an existing brick walkway, 2) installed a paver and stone walk way in the backyard 3) re-leveled an existing brick patio, 4) eleviated drainage issues in the backyard. At my house in Palestine, he laid a beautiful brick pathway 5 years ago and more recently laid a brick patio where the old rotten deck used to be He's 4th generation mason and his workmanship/work ethic is excellent. He probably doesn't need this review because he's always overloaded with jobs, but I want to leave it anyway. I rate his work as A++++ and as a bonus, Kevin is awesome to deal with. He's straightforward and friendly. If you get Kevin to do a job for you, you know it will be done well."

Most contractors don’t recommend putting a pool on an area of grass—if only because your pool will kill the grass anyway. Some homeowners install concrete pads above the grass to create a sturdier surface or put a layer of sand over the grass. Ideally, you would run your pool pump as much as possible. But realistically, you should plan to run your pump strategically so you can save as much money as possible on your electricity bills while also keeping your pool clean.

Most pool owners run their pumps for eight to 12 hours a day—not necessarily consecutively. You can opt to run the pump during non-peak hours when electricity is cheaper, which is usually in the evenings and nighttime.

There are many factors to consider when building an in-ground concrete pool. This includes the pool’s primary purpose (relaxation or exercise) if you live in a warm or cold climate (how often it’ll be used), and if you have the budget for chemical treatments and pool maintenance. In-ground pools are often more costly than aboveground pools, but they’re considered more luxurious and hold more value.

Once you use a pH decreaser, you can expect the pH to adjust in two to four hours. If you use a strong chemical like muriatic acid, it could take as little as an hour. Either way, it’s best to wait for a full turnover cycle before retesting. You want to make sure the chemical is completely dissolved and evenly distributed or you won’t have a stable pH level.
