"Contacted energy attic usa for information on their products and received an abundance of help from two very kind and friendly people- Kent and Amy.  They are a husband and wife team that take great pride in what they do, the american made products that they use, and in customer satisfaction.  I had many questions that related to my existing air conditioning unit and ductwork and Kent was more than happy to answer ALL of my questions!  I had originally planned to be home on the day of the scheduled install, but an emergency came up with one of their employees and so they had to reschedule the work at my house.  I was not happy because I wanted to be at home when the work took place and could not take off from work.  Kent understood and gave me his word that he would stay at my house and oversee the work until everything was completed.   Overall, I was very happy that I used this company and would recommend them to anyone else.  They displayed quality work and to my delight- left all the areas where they had worked clean!  Cynthia

"Easily the best experience I have had with any contractor in this area after one year of maintaining a 100 year old home! They were punctual and accommodating and went out of their way to ensure complete, quality work at fair prices. I was ready to do a much larger project but found it was unnecessary with their assistance. Highly recommend Insulation Works for any home energy needs."

Forrest was extremely responsive. I called and he was able to come by, I believe, the next day to an energy audit to determine why my electric bill was outrageous and the temperature varied throughout the house. Right away he determined there was virtually no insulation in the attic (easier said than done considering the dark,  3 ft crawl space filled with giant metal ducts) except what was left from the original install in 1975. I was able to schedule to have the work done in about 5 days. I'm not sure if the price was good or not but I really liked Forrest and he was available to get the work done ASAP...that made it the right price!  He and his crew arrived when they said they would, blew in the insulation, mended ducts, expelled all the critters in the attic, and replaced the broken booster fan blocking the air going to the opposite end of the house.

I also texted Forrest Friday with concerns that there was hot air coming out of the vent when the AC wasn't on, he said he could be there the next day to check it out. He showed up when he said he would, determined that coincidently, I walked under the vent right when the AC turned on and all the hot air was being pushed from the duct.  There was no issues other than my bad timing.

I will continue to use this company for everything and anything they can provide that I need in the future.

"My husband worked primarily with Laine Houston during the entire process.  Laine was professional and spent a great deal of time working out the plan for our home.  He personally designed the new duct work for better air flow which enabled us to receive a total of $3.800 in rebates from CPS Energy.  Needless to say we are extremely happy with the new HVAC unit and the service Tasco provided.

"Ethan explained (in detail) how they would not only set up the panels on top of my home, but that they will also "pressurize" my home, including my air conditioning unit, to ensure that I get the best service possible from my panels!  He explained every detail of cost, taxes, and best of all REBATES!  He explained several methods of purchase, as well.  I have his personal cell phone number in case I have questions, and I can call their office at ANY TIME if I need anything.  So far, my experience with Sunpro Solar (Mandeville, LA) has been nothing short of great!  In a few weeks, I'll have my solar panels installed.  The time it has taken to get to this process has been minimal.  Everyone I've spoken with at Sunpro Solar has been friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, respectful, and accommodating.

"..
Technician arrived on time and was very professional. Once I explained
what the problem was he showed me their price list and said that I fell
within a price zone that included finding the exact problem and could
take up to 5 hours for that price. I didn't feel that I had any choice
so I agreed. It took him about 10 minutes to isolate the problem and
then another 15 minutes to replace a faulty outlet. Maybe a total of 30
minutes was spent on the repair. When he figured the bill, which
included a military reduction, it came out to $299.00. I think that this
is a VERY EXCESSIVE price for the time spent and work performed. I
think that pricing should be based on work actually performed and not on
"what might have to be performed"
Even though I felt that the technician was very knowledgeable, courteous  and efficient I will not be using this company again.
No reduction in price based on "Angie's List"

"First they were late, but the young man called and said the traffice was really bad and he was going to be late.  I really appreciated that he called to let me know.  After that everything went well.  They got there and started right away.  Very nice young man, they took a few well deserved breaks and were done before 4 pm.  They cleaned up any mess, left my place the way they found it.  I would recommend them
I'm looking forward to my next electric bill to see how much I saved.  Best of all the cost was less they they quoted.

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

R-value is calculated by dividing the thickness of an insulation material by its thermal conductivity. The material's composition and density influence thermal conductivity. Materials with lower conductivity values provide better insulation. The higher the R-value, the better the material is at insulating, helping homeowners select insulation that meets the energy needs of their climate and home layout.

There are several signs that your house might have poor ventilation, including lingering odors, condensation on your windows, or mold and mildew. Your home may also feel stale and stuffy, or you might have trouble maintaining a comfortable temperature in your home. On top of that, you might develop allergy symptoms, such as sneezing, coughing, or headaches.

While some aspects of an appraisal, such as comparable properties nearby, are out of your control, there are several steps you can take to potentially increase your home's value. Make any necessary repairs and upgrades before the appraiser's visit, as they can only value what is currently part of the home, not its potential. Examples include renovating older areas, updating landscaping to boost curb appeal, and staging your home. You can also provide the appraiser with the cost of recent upgrades, which may increase your home's value by about 50% or more of what you paid for those improvements.

No, it isn’t necessary to have energy-efficient windows. However, if you care about your energy bill and making your windows more energy efficient, fixing any heat, UV, or air transfer issues is an excellent way to lower your bills and keep your house cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.

R-value measures an insulation material's thermal resistance, indicating its ability to resist heat transfer. A higher R-value signifies better insulation performance because the material is more effective at slowing heat flow. The R-value depends on the type, thickness, and density of the insulation material, such as fiberglass, foam, or cellulose. Each inch of insulation typically provides an R-value between 3 and 8. There is no single universal R-value; the optimal choice depends on your climate zone. Colder climates require a much higher R-value than warmer ones to maintain energy efficiency, keep the home warm in winter and cool in summer, and manage costs.
