My experience with Energy Attic USA went really well. They were very good price wise. They did a good job and they’re the only company that I find that would do a reading and barrier that actually use a metallic foil reading barrier that they would put in instead of spray. That’s what I wanted. It’s supposed to be much better. It’s all under insulation.

Contacted energy attic usa for information on their products and received an abundance of help from two very kind and friendly people- Kent and Amy.  They are a husband and wife team that take great pride in what they do, the american made products that they use, and in customer satisfaction.  I had many questions that related to my existing air conditioning unit and ductwork and Kent was more than happy to answer ALL of my questions!  I had originally planned to be home on the day of the scheduled install, but an emergency came up with one of their employees and so they had to reschedule the work at my house.  I was not happy because I wanted to be at home when the work took place and could not take off from work.  Kent understood and gave me his word that he would stay at my house and oversee the work until everything was completed.   Overall, I was very happy that I used this company and would recommend them to anyone else.  They displayed quality work and to my delight- left all the areas where they had worked clean!  Cynthia

I had contacted several providers for this service, but ultimately felt more comfortable with Energy Attic. The owner was involved in explaining the product and process, and was the one who provided the bid. He was also on the job much of the time. They showed up when agreed and did a very professional job in the time frame I was told.

While I think the ROI on energy savings is hard to justify, it has made our home more comfortable and easier to cool on these 105 degree days. And I have noticed a 15-20% reduction in electric bills over last summer.

From start to completion everything for the initial quote, to showing up on time, to completing the job quickly and cleaning up was absolute professionalism. Kent , the owner, was great and everything he told me was correct. I have waited to post my evalution because I wanted to receive my first utility bill after completion. My utility bills in the summer were ranging from $250-$300 a month. I have a 2267 square foot home with a pool. My first bill since my new installation was $200.00, a wonderful drop from last year. The pool uses a lot of energy. Before, my garage was incredibly hot in the summer and I can really tell the difference. I leave my thermostat on 78 and it is actually cold at night. I highly recommend them.

Very pleased. They explain the process and the need that we had in our attic for the new insulation. They were also helpful in applying for an energy credit from CPS the local power utility.

The best service experience I have ever had. The price was competitive
and the work was done professionally. The owner came and helped with the
very difficult project and is a perfectionist. Everything was done
better than quoted and even additional work to improve the efficiency of
the AC unit was done at no cost.  I highly recommend this company.

My house has >40 devices connected to the internet, 4 wifi routers, and >10 POE security cameras.  With all of that, these guys didn't clip a single wire or staple through a single cable.  That's impressive!  More than anything, their foreman (Guy), was just an outstanding communicator.  He always fully explained every step to me, answered all my questions, and addressed every one of my concerns.
I've used Angie's List a lot to get good contractors to work at my home.  And I'm generally a very tough customer, because I stick my nose in everyone's work, ask lots of questions, and triple check everything before, during, and after the job is done.  Usually, a contractor is just sick of me by the time they're done.  But not these guys!  They had a great attitude, did an outstanding job, and deserve every bit of new business they get via these reviews or via word of mouth.  Their pricing was excellent as well.
I highly recommend!

The service was fantastic.  I was able to get the job within one day!  Kent also worked with me on the price after I told him how much I had already invested in trying to resolve a squirrel / moth ball issue in my attic.  I really appreciate the great price and service I was provided!

After getting quotes to add a radiant barrier and more insulation to the home we just moved into this summer, we decided to use Energy Attic. Their pricing was competitive with the other quotes, and one company that came out would not even give us a quote because of the complexity of the trusses in our attic. The entire process with Energy Attic went terrific! From quote to finish, and beyond, Kent and Amy were professional, knowledgable and friendly. They always kept us informed. They installed the radiant barrier and blown insulation on September 5, 2012, and installed the backordered solar fan a week or so later. Amy sent all the paperwork needed to apply for the CPS rebate for the blown insulation, and the government Residential Energy Credit form for the tax credit come tax time. The CPS rebate came back quickly in the amount of $658.75! I waited to write this review so I could compare a full month of electric usage with the new insulation to see if it was really making a difference. So far, the results are clear that we are definitely getting our money's worth! Taking into consideration the drop in the average degree day for each month, we have saved 32% on our CPS bill so far! Although a true comparison will be to see what next year's usage is, the numbers look like we will recoup the cost within 2-3 years and continue the savings beyond. What Energy Attic installed really did make a difference in the climate of our house and the amount of time our A/C has been running. Kent and Amy were great to work with and we will definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking to increase the efficiency of their home.

I live in a old house, and the insulation on the attic needs to be added.  City of Austin Utilities (Austin Energy) has a great rebate program for insulation, so I signed up.  EnergyAttic is one of the companies listed by Austin Energy.  For getting the quote, the audit person was friendly and through with his explanation about what's and why's.  Finally I scheduled for the work.  Kent came with his crews and basically supervised and worked on the problem and the insulation.  He made sure everything was installed (seal, insulation) properly and Austin Energy auditor approved the work.  The door blower/blast test took a while because of setting issue (EnergyAttic subcontracted to other company), and finally after 3 hours, we did get an excellent result.  I was happy with Kent's and his crews work.  They were friendly, punctual, and got the work done.  They actually came back to reseal door on the furnace area.  They also promised to come back if  I were to work on the attic and the insulation needed to be re-sweep.

I recieved approx 4 estimates from various contractors I found on Angie's List that would provide insulating and radiant barrier attic services. Energy Attic proved to be the best price, most professional, and most thorough of the contractors. The estimator was quick and to the point and we didn't feel like he had some huge schpiel that was a waste of our time. The office staff, whom I coordinated the service, schedulig, and payment plan with, was prompt in returning phone calls and e-mails and was always courteous and informative. The installers arrived promptly at 8am (I was told they'd be there between 8 and 8:30am depending on traffic) and finished the job and left around 5:30pm. My husband was off of work that day and so he stayed at the house- I suppose this would have been more inconvenient if one of us had to take off of work, but it just happened to work out for us this day. He said the guys were courteous and got straight to work. Bottom line: I feel like we paid a reasonable price for courteous service, prompt arrival, and a great product well installed. You have two very happy homeowners!! I can't wait to see my electric bill!

My wife called Energy Attic to schedule an appointment for them to come out and change the configuration of the radiant barrier they installed during the summer of 2009. Since we had a new roof installed in April of this year, it was necessary for the radiant barrier to be modified slightly due to the removal of three attic vent fans and and the addition of several new ridge vents. It wasn't a large job, but something that affected the efficiency of our radiant barrier so it needed to be done.
To my surprise, they were in the neighborhood and were able to come out that same day to perform the service. The technicians arrived right on schedule and completed all their modifications within an hour.  As they were cleaning up their materials, I asked how much it would cost and the tech informed me it was a free service and that their barrier was guaranteed for life.  I said,  "are you sure? This wasn't exactly something resulting from a product or installation defect."   The technician checked his paperwork (iphone actually) and said that it was covered, and there was no charge. I was very surprised and pleased. This is a good company.
FWIW, Energy Attic installed radiant barrier along with an extra 12 inches of insulation, and several additional soffit vents back in the summer of 2009. It made a huge difference in the comfort of our house.  The AC is now able to keep the house cool the entire summer, (even during the 69 days last summer when the temp was 100+ degrees), and our electic bill decreased by an average of 40% in the summer and about 25% in the winter. I wasn't an Angie's list member at that time so I didn't write a review then, but thought I'd mention it now.  This system really works well.  Every one we dealt with, then and last week, from the office staff to the crew foremen to the installation technicians was polite and professional and it's obvious they take pride in their work. It was money well spent, and knowing what I do now, I'd certainly do it again.

Kent P and his work men were very professional.  They added US made insulation to the cellulose junk, the builder blew in which had broken down to 6 in. in some places and 10 in. in others in just 8 yrs.  They cut and installed the radiant barrier, attaching it to the roof rafters, then blew in many bags of insulation to insure we had 12 in. or more everywhere, except the decking area that we installed in the attic for storage.  Did it in about 6 hrs.  Now the entire attic area has an aluminum tent over it.  They will leave one wind vent, will remove the other one and install the solar fan in that hole, so no extra holes in the roof.  Fan has thermostat that turns it on when the attic gets over 80 degrees and turns it off when attic gets below 65 degrees to conserve heat in winter.  Doing business with Kent was a real joy, after dealing with some of the other contractors we've used for renovation over the last month!

From the initial contact with the office to scheduling a time for an estimate to the extremely detailed and thorough survey of how to address our needs to the actual installation, this company's personnel and workmanship was outstanding. They were on time, their employees are professional and the work is exceptionally well done. Since we had the radiant barrier installed, we had another workman in our attic and he commented on the quality of the radiant barrier. Although we haven't reached the height of summer, we have had several 90 days and our AC only came on twice during the day with the thermostat set at 73. We are pleased with this company and highly recommend them.

Kent came out on April 5th to give an estimate to install Radiant Barrier in my attic.  This company was the third of four estimates I gathered.  He was a little early for our appointment, but talked to me about everything.  The next day, I received a detailed estimate via email on exactly what he recommended. We narrowed it down to two companies and since his estimate was a little cheaper than the other one, we decided to just go with his company. We also only asked for radiant barrier to be installed at this time.  We might get the additional insulation and solar fan at a later date.  We were able to schedule the installation for today, April 19th. The crew arrived about 5 minutes before 8 a.m. (scheduled to be her between 8 and 9 a.m.).  So they were very prompt.  They introduced themselves to me and were very friendly and professional.   I asked to see the material that they were going to use because Kent provided me with two samples and I wanted to go with the heavier one.  They were happy to show me the material and were eager to get to work.  Kent showed up a little later and stated that this was one of the best crews that he has. He had a few other appointment and left his crew to do the work.  He returned about the time that the crew were finishing up.  He asked if I wanted to go up and look at the attic and offered me a flashlight.  I did go up and took a few pictures to show my wife.   Installation was complete and they cleaned everything up around 1:30 p.m.  I highly recommend this company for insulation needs in San Antonio, TX.  We are looking forward to see how much the radiant barrier helps with the electric bill this coming summer.

It went very well. A friend of ours had done extensive research about all the companies who provided radiant barrier and had recommended them. We had talked to him ealier in the year but did not have the work done at that time. He honored the previous price and gave us an slight 'off season' discount.

I am an architect and recommended Energy Attic for my clients, based on Angie's List positive reviews and reporting. I also recommended Rhino, but Energy Attic was $1,100 less expensive and did not mislead or misinform the clients by stating that the work had to be done immediately or the CIty rebates would expire. Also, Energy Attic's telephone receptionist was informative and conversational when initially called to inquire about the radiant barrier products.

The clients were very pleased with their service and timeliness. They reported that Energy Attic was very conscientious and returned when requested to ensure some recessed lighting was stable and that the electrical components not compromised. They assisted in filing rebates. The Owner made a site visit from his office in Boerne which speaks of good management and oversight.

I am grateful in the care Energy Attic took with our clients because their performance reflects on our professional judgement and the ability to serve our clients well.

I have one bedroom that gets very hot in the summer - 5 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. My a/c guy suggested I see about adding more insulation to bring what I had up to the recommended R-38. I called 3 different companies to get estimates and got three different stories as to how much insulation I needed and what kind! Mostly they were all interested in selling me an expensive weatherization package! I read the comments on Angie's List about Energy Attic and decided to give them a call. I first spoke with Suzanne and told her I needed some honest answers and she told me that she would schedule the owner, Kent, to come see me and that I could trust him to be straight with me. Kent took a long look at my attic and the area that is getting so hot. He did not think I needed a lot of insulation to bring it up to r-38 but it was unevenly distributed which they would fix. He recommended radiant barrier for the heat problem but that was not going to be in the budget right now so he volunteered to do the radiant barrier just over the area that was getting so hot. I have had a terrible dust problem in this house for the 5 years I have owned it. Kent found large gaps between the air vents and Sheetrock and recommended they all be sealed. He explained several different options to me and recommended which ones he thought would help my immediate problems. I received a detailed estimate of ALL my options and was able to chose those I could do at this time. Kent and his crew showed up on time and got right to work. They put radiant barrier over my daughters room and even a little further out. They put more than R38 insulation throughout the attic and even more over the hot room. They removed each vent cover - and there are a lot of them- and sealed the gaps with caulk, and sealed everything under all sinks. Kent even sealed up around my downdraft kitchen vent fan! They were all very professional and polite and did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. This was completely positive experience for me. If you are looking for a company that treats you honestly and fairly and focuses on your specific problems call Energy Attic!!

Ian Harris came out to check on the work I wanted and was very knowledgeable about home efficiency in general.  Once I decided to get the work done, I only had to wait one or two days until they were able to schedule the work and complete it.  (Lucky me!)  It gave me as close to instant satisfaction of any work that I've ever had done on my home.   It was likely perfect timing as they had a crew from Dallas in town coming off of another job.   As they finished their work, they also installed my attic tent and dealt with the cables from my home network (stapled above the insulation).
