"I could not be more pleased with the window tint installed by EP Window. We needed privacy in our media room and heat reduction in our family room. Chris came up with a great tint solution for both rooms and demonstrated how the tint would reduce the amount of heat and UV light from the sun. He is definitely one of the best home contractors I have worked with."

"I contacted the provider about my half moon window that gets the intense west setting sun. Inside the house is the vaulted room that is very hot because of the sun in the later part of the day, also requiring you to wear sunglasses or risk falling in the house because of being blinded from the sun! They were very friendly over the phone and answered all my questions. They came out to measure, and within a week I had my solar screen. Its amazing how much better that room is, cooler, and non-blinding. And the screen even comes with a lifetime warranty!

"First off, my experience with AllStar Solar Screens was absolutely wonderful! Chris & Liz came out right away, measured all the windows and installed everything professionally & promptly. They went above and beyond to see that everything was taken care of and the service overall was a dream and a pleasure! We ended up going with the (Dark Bronze) color and couldn't be happier with the selection. Huge shoutout to AllStar Solar Screens and Chris and Liz. I'm definitely a customer for life and will certainly return to them for further products and installs. Way to go!!! :) Highly recommend!!"

"Carlos was great to deal with. We did have a slightly lower estimate than his but his knowledge and experience made our decision easy.We are excited to see how our a/c bill looks this summer after installation of film on our west facing Windows."

"I had to install the system and call on line support for help. The instructions were vague. I had a lot of problems with installing the door and window sensors even with online help. The literature that was received also was not helpful. I need an instruction manual!"

"I contacted them last week, and they made me wait two days for a repair. I had to bypass the alarm for that door in the meantime which makes me feel very insecure. Today, another part fell off. The guy I spoke with said he would have someone else call, and the other guy never called. Therefore, I will have to bypass that door again tonight.

Update 11/26/14
A technician came out last night and made sure the part was secure to both of my doors.  He was very nice and efficient.  As they did come out and fix the problem I would consider them for future work."

Window Tinting questions, answered by experts

Often, window film won’t stick if the glass is too dirty; dust and debris can prevent the adhesive from working. Make sure to clean the glass thoroughly before installing the window film. Low-quality film, which may have a weaker adhesive, might also be the cause of your window film’s inability to stick.

Energy-efficient windows are judged on their performance according to a few different factors, including heat transfer, air leakage, light transference, and condensation resistance. If you're unsure whether a window is energy-efficient, look for an ENERGY STAR® label from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). If various products, including windows, meet energy-efficiency standards set by the federal government, the EPA issues this label to help consumers identify energy-efficient products.

Use a combination of blackout methods to truly black out your windows. If you want to eliminate all light from your room, try installing a very dark tinted film and then putting up blackout shades over the entire window. Reach out to a professional and request some custom-made shades for the best result.

Modern windows provide enhanced UV protection, improved heat retention, and cooling efficiency, contributing to overall household energy savings.

Do not use Windex or any glass cleaner when applying window film. These products contain ammonia, which will damage the film. Instead, use the application solution provided with the installation kit. If there is no solution, make your own using 1 teaspoon of baby shampoo and a gallon of bottled water.
