"The finished cabinet is beautiful! It takes wasted space and makes it useful as well as attractive. It really enhances my living room. J&D came out to measure and got me a drawing and estimate promptly. I liked the fact that they used plywood, not MDF, for the sides and genuine wood for the doors. After I selected them to do the work they took time to make sure we were on the same page for the design, even stopping by an additional time with a door sample to make sure it was going to turn out the way I wanted. I wanted the cabinet painted, not stained, and their painters did a fantastic job. Everyone working in my house took a lot of care to make sure the house was clean when they left and the furniture was back in the right spot."

"Mr. Allen is a superior professional in all aspects of refinishing a bookcase. Unfortunately, I was duped by two prior "pro's" because I am physically unable to complete the job well due to health issues. Even though Mr. Allen was extremely challenged to produce a superior project due to humidity, et cetera, he continued until he persevered with an outstanding product. I would hire him again without hesitation. His knowledge, as well as his consideration of his employer, as well as his punctuality, and reliability are extremely difficult to locate elsewhere. I highly recommend this man to anyone who needs assistance--without hesitation. His acceptance with a job well-done is ONLY when the owner accepts his performance. Thanks for all you have done for me, Mr. Allen."

Pre Made Cabinets questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can replace the cabinet hardware after installation to change up the look of your cabinets. Replacing the hinges, handles, pulls, and knobs allows you the design flexibility to match your other appliances or finish schemes to your liking. Talk with your kitchen designer or cabinet installer about the best hardware option for your cabinets.

Durability and appearance are the two main drawbacks to installing budget kitchen cabinets, which are often made of less-durable wood or plastic. You're also limited to stock options, meaning you may have a small selection from which to choose.

On the plus side, you can always paint these more affordable kitchen cabinets to make them look the way you want.

There’s no strict rule about which way cabinet doors should open, but generally, double cabinet doors should open away from each other. With single doors, you want to avoid having them block your path or swing into  areas where people need to stand. Some kitchens are angled so that cabinet doors may crash into something no matter which way they swing, but the methods above can help prevent damage.

Using a shim or another type of self-leveling feet on the bottom edge of your cabinet bases will help to level them out if you’re installing them on a less-than-level surface. To make this process easier, you can add your shims before attaching the bases to your cabinets while they’re still light and easy to move around.

For safety when installing a vanity, attaching the vanity to the wall is ideal to prevent it from moving. Typically, sinks must be 4 inches away from bathtubs. Also, most states require that you have 21 inches in front of a sink, but the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) recommends 30 inches for more comfort.
