"Danny Wright responded to my call within a day or so and came on a weekend day to give me an estimate for the project. We were facing a time constraint because I was trying to get it done while my daughter was away at camp. Danny called back with an estimate based largely on how hard the wallpaper would be to remove (a per hour labor fee) and what they would encounter during that process. He was willing to try to work on getting this job completed during the time allotment, just before he was to leave on a vacation. He called and said what day he would come and he and his helper went to work removing the wallpaper. (I told him I thought the walls had been primed prior to the installation, which would normally make removal easier) It went well until they got to the vanity area, only to discover that only part of those walls had been primed, which made the rest of the paper harder to remove and the subsequent sheet rock repair would have to be done and dry before it could be primed and painted. They did a good job and the rooms look nice. It required 2 coats of paint (the bedroom was a deep lavender color) on top of a tinted primer. They worked until about 5:00 PM each afternoon and came on Saturday, all day, to complete the job before they left. Everything was cleaned including the mirrors, we just had to wait till it all dried. They were still working when my daughter arrived home from camp. My daughter was very surprised, as was I, that they were able to fit it into their schedule, as initially I was not too optimistic about finding someone so competent to get the job done on time."

"Ryan was very responsive to my request for a quote and showed up promptly, talked to me about what I wanted and what I didn't. He followed up quickly with a detailed quote and an offer of a discount if I was ready to sign. I planned to get several estimates (which turned out to be harder than you would think) and did get another in the same price range. I decided to go with Ryan based on feedback here, his web site info and his responsiveness. Painting was projected at Monday - Friday. Monday morning, Ryan and 1 painter showed up and starting covering items, taking down fixtures, going over where I wanted to keep picture hangers in walls and where not, etc. Another painter joined shortly after. I was a bit worried when only 1 painter showed Tuesday, but 2 were there Wed. and the job moved right along. When no one came on Thurs. morning I got a bit concerned (okay, control issues), but Thurs. afternoon there was a crew here and they worked late to get most of the wall work finished and start the trim/doors. There were several closets where wallpaper had gone into the closet and needed to be totally painted (1 bathroom and the pantry) and Ryan said no problem. Also, the built in bookshelves needed to be painted and we hadn't discussed that and Ryan said no problem. There was a big crew working Friday and they worked late, but with all the trim, window sills and the extra places I asked for the work flowed over into Saturday. Ryan was apologetic and the crew showed up very early and worked until everything was done and I had done 2 walk throughs. Ryan told me to live with it a day or 2 and then call him for any more walk through type items. I found a couple of things and Ryan came and took care of them promptly. Overall, a very positive experience and a nice paint job."
