Small jobs welcome

"Ed was an absolute pleasure to work with. He did an amazing job installing wallpaper in our master bedroom. He was on time every day, worked diligently all day long, cleaned up, asked great questions, and is just an overall nice guy. We will be using Ed for three more wallpaper installs in the future. I can't recommend him enough for your painting and wallpaper needs."

"This company is excellent!! Initial contact provided a scheduled time for an estimate on the exterior painting we needed, Ceasar came out at the appointment time, provided an estimate the next day and the project was scheduled. The team worked well together and knew exactly what needed to be done … pressure washing, masking off windows and then painting. No overspray on any brick, quick and cleaned up every piece of material they used! Charges for the job were extremely competitive! We highly recommend Expert Painters TCP!!"

"John & Mike showed up for estimate and job on time and communicated well. The jobs were done very well and for a reasonable price that included all materials and did a nice job of clean up. We will bring them back for some more painting outside as well."

"It went very well. Sergio is very professional, communicates well, and performs quality work. He is open and flexible in terms of adding requests to the job and is very reasonable in terms of what he charges. He applies integrity to what he does. Overall very happy with his work and would recommend him for sure.

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

To pair a unique sense of style with white walls, keep them well-decorated. Hang vibrant art or bold furniture to add color to the room. Add some texture and greenery to the space with plants. Choose accent pieces such as throw pillows or light fixtures with patterns. Having a white wall can be a plus as it allows homeowners to easily decorate their homes as they desire without worrying about clashing with the paint color.

Many types of wallpaper exist, from removable peel-and-stick options to more permanent options that involve pasting. You can also find wallpaper that you can paint over, wallpaper with a texture, and wallpaper made from various materials, such as vinyl. Some types of wallpaper are washable, which can be a great option for kitchens or if your household has small children.

No, you don’t need to apply paint primer to your wall before hanging paintable wallpaper. Manufacturers design paintable wallpaper so that the paint will adhere effectively, so primer isn’t necessary. Plus, even if you opt for a light shade of paint, you won’t have to worry about the shade underneath showing through because you are painting on a light, white surface.

Painting over wallpaper is an efficient way to cover it if it’s in decent shape. Before painting over wallpaper, make sure the surface is clean and smooth. You may have to remove minor problem areas, such as lifted seams or small peels, with a sheetrock knife or putty knife. Add a latex- or oil-based primer to keep moisture at bay before painting. You’ll likely need two coats of paint to cover the area.

You shouldn’t need extra adhesive for peel-and-stick backsplash tile. The adhesive on the back of the tile sheets should do the trick. However, if you experience issues with the tile peeling or falling off, make sure the wall you’re working on isn’t textured, as that can prevent the materials from properly adhering.
