"It is my understanding that Space City Lights primarily focuses on outdoor lighting (Outdoor lighting was the only option I could select above). But this job was actually to remove my existing indoor lighting at my house, and then add in dimmable recessed lighting throughout the home (first and second floors). Overall, very pleased. The job was finished yesterday and so far, so good. Brent and his team managed to add in the lights without damaging the surrounding drywall on the ceiling. Pricing was attractive. Only slight negative was the job took an extra day - but they communicated that early on as the project was ongoing. So it wasn’t a problem for me. They also removed and installed 3 ceiling fans. Those are also working well so far."

Mike worked us on our budget while putting together a lighting presentation of our backyard that resembles and reminds us of our trips to Hawaii and their resorts. "They installed 13 screens on our windows (different sizes) and did a marvelous job. When first called, they returned the call immediately and came out when they said they would (they called again prior to coming out to measure and price). Gave me a date for installation and called before the installation date to check to see if it was still a go. Liz is a true professional. Chris did a fantastic job. They were awesome!"

"They sent the color choices and directions promptly. I was a little nervous about doing the measuring and making a pattern without assistance so procrastinated a bit. Once I sent in the order details I had hoped I would hear back with an estimated delivery time, but that didn't happen. However, I was in no hurry, so I didn't even really pay attention to how long it took. Maybe a few weeks. Not sure."

"When I requested the service from Curtis for Saturday I understood the cost would be $142.50 per hour. However, Curtis described how they did not charge extra for having a helper accompany the electrician. I interpreted this to mean that two people would be dispatched to do the work, The cost seemed reasonable for two people on a Saturday. Only one person came and he was not an electrician. He was a journeyman. The estimated time for completing the work was 4 hours. The work was not completed in 10 hours (2 hours for lunch) after which I sent the journeyman home and resolved to complete the work myself. The quality of the electrical aspect of the work seems acceptable. The only error I have discovered so far is that the light switch was installed upside down. I have not yet installed the fan units, so I have to reserve judgement on those electrical connections. Had a helper been dispatched with the journeyman I think the work would have proceeded according to the 4 hour time estimate that Curtis originally made. After some discussion Curtis reluctantly reduced the number of hours to 6 from the 8 hours charged by the journeyman. Overall this performance seems about average for a service company. In the future I will search for above average performers.

Mike really knows his stuff, giving us good ideas about design and landscaping. They also worked quickly but thoroughly, were very reliable, cleaned up thoroughly after themselves, and were priced very reasonably. Very happy customers; we'll definitely be back!"
