"I had a couple spots in our drywall that needed repair from an old security system. He was extremely quick to respond, communicated well on the details and timeline, and the finished product looks great at a very fair price. Would recommend to anyone looking for a drywall repair."

"MLS Drywall & Paint is an excellent company that strives to fully satisfy. This was the only company that truly listened to my desires and made sure to explain all possible options and limitations that could lie ahead. They have a trustworthy, courteous, and hardworking group of craftsmen. The work they have done for me was everything I was hoping for and more. While they were not the cheapest pricewise, the cost is worth the quality of craftsmanship they provide! I am so happy with all the work you have done in my home. I have come to think of this company as an extension of my family. Thank you!"

"I was having trouble getting a drywall repair done because everyone that I called was very busy and said it was going to be 4-6 weeks before they could do the repair. I called Cane at Dream Renovationz about 7pm on Thursday evening.  I really expected to leave a message, but to my surprise Cane actually answered the phone.  I told him that I needed drywall replaced/repaired in three different areas due to a washer/dryer add-on in the garage. I explained that I was having a great deal of trouble getting someone to do the job.  Cane said that normally they did not do small jobs, but he would try to help me out.  After talking again the next day, Cane said he would send his drywall contractor out on Saturday to do the job.  On Saturday, Cane and his drywall contractor arrived and Cane looked over the job.  He quoted me about $90 higher than the other two estimates I had received, but he was there and willing to do the job, so I agreed to the price. The contractor was very pleasant, and worked steady and was very careful.  At one point there was an electrical problem that came about when turning on a power tool. It seemed that either a plug was bad or a breaker was bad. Not sure what to do, I called Cane and explained the problem.  He showed up at my house and fixed the problem within a few minutes.  I was very impressed at his willingness to fix the problem and also impressed that he was able to identify and fix the electrical issue within a few minutes. The contractor finished the project and asked me if I was completely satisfied.  He wanted to make sure that I was happy before he left.  I was very happy with the work and would use this company again.  I really appreciate that Cane was able to help me out and do this small job for me. Cane was friendly and so was the contractor that actually did the work.

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Through expert matching of texture and paint for an invisible repair.

Some textures are easier than others to DIY, but the short answer is yes, you can absolutely texture walls yourself. You’ll need certain materials, like a trowel or paint sprayer, but the most important things you’ll need are patience and time. DIYing wall texture can save money and be a fun, messy project, but homeowners need to know that adding texture to a wall isn’t a quick project.

The two most common drywall thicknesses for ceilings are 1/2-inch and 5/8-inch. For most standard residential applications, 1/2-inch drywall is sufficient and widely used. It provides adequate support and is lighter and easier to handle during installation compared to thicker sheets. However, 5/8-inch drywall is often used for specific cases where additional benefits are needed. It is heavier but provides superior sound dampening and fire resistance. You should consider using 5/8-inch drywall for ceilings in commercial buildings, between a garage and a living space, or above a finished basement to meet building codes or for enhanced soundproofing.

Drywall can get wet and dry out without sustaining permanent damage, but only if the water damage is minor. If you have a small leak and are quick to correct the issue and set up blower fans and dehumidifiers, your drywall should dry out. If the leak is persistent, the drywall becomes totally waterlogged, or mold begins forming on the drywall, you should remove and replace it.

When doing a DIY paint job, it can be tricky to achieve the perfect, straight line between your wall and ceiling. There are several methods, including lining it with painter’s tape and using the “cut in” brush tactic. Some homeowners choose to apply a thin line of caulk to the wall-ceiling seam to create the appearance of a perfect line.
