Gas leak repair technicians in Blossom

"Scamming the elderly, you should be ashamed! We called them, explained we just needed the kitchen drain cleanout snaked unclogged, they quoted $115 an hour. We agreed. They said it would be an hour or less. It took maybe 30 minutes. I was fine with an hour minimum. When I was out of the room, they charged my elderly parents $215! Clearly took advantage of them. When I called they explained that the plumber had a helper and were charging for him too. Are you kidding?! I could have bought a snake and done it for my parents had I known they were going to scam them. This is not what was quoted or agreed to. We will be filing with the BBB and the Texas AG - it's actually illegal to treat people in their 70's on a fixed income this way, quoting them one thing and price gouging them after the fact. STAY AWAY."

Wood & Wood Services is trusted, recommended, and has a reputation for quality work. We have up front pricing and our technicians are license by the Texas State Board of Plumbing. Our company is insured and available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.

"This is the most disrespectful service provider I have ever dealt with. First of all, I waited 3 separate days for them to show up. On the first scheduled appointment, the office called me and asked if I could be moved from Friday to Monday. I said OK. On Monday, I missed a call from the "technician" and wasn't able to call back until 45 minutes after his call. After leaving a message, I got no call back, but an automated text that I was scheduled for a slot 2 hours later that day. I called again and got no response. The end of the time slot went by and I texted the technician. I was informed via text that you have 30 minutes to respond to a phone call from the tech. If you don't respond then you get rescheduled. Two times they rescheduled me via text message and would not answer phone calls to set a time. Then, the "technician" wanted pictures of the valve they were supposed to be testing/replacing instead of showing up to actually look at it. I sent pictures at 8:00pm that night. Then at 7:15am I received another text saying that the concrete would have to be busted out to get to the valve. He wanted me to call a concrete company to remove a section of concrete, again based solely on pictures. This would be hilarious if it wasn't so ridiculous. When they didn't show up for the third time, they stopped responding to all calls and texts. They clearly do not want nor need our business, and based on this, we don't want or need their service."

Gas Leak Repair questions, answered by experts

No, you shouldn’t leave a gas line uncapped because it can allow gas to escape into your environment, which can lead to fires, explosions, and health hazards. That’s why it’s critical to properly cap and seal any unused gas lines as soon as you can. If you’re not comfortable with that, you can always call a licensed plumber to safely handle it for you.

You can maneuver your gas grill into place, but you cannot connect the grill to your gas source yourself. All municipalities mandate that a certified plumber carry out this work, so you’ll have to reach out to a plumber or a gas grill installation company in your area. Given how dangerous a gas leak can be, gas lines and connections are highly regulated, so you’ll need a professional’s help and a permit to install a gas grill.

Costs depend on the fireplace model, venting complexity, labor, and whether additional structural modifications are needed.

Plumbers start by walking around the property to see if they notice any signs or sounds of a gas leak. They can also use tools like electronic gas detectors and infrared cameras to find the source of leaks. There are also detectors that use laser, thermal, and multi-wavelength imaging. All these devices allow a plumber to scan your home and pinpoint the exact location of a leak.

Although a gas company supplies gas to homes, connecting gas appliances, like a dryer, is not their responsibility. The primary role of a gas company is to safely deliver gas to a property and maintain the gas supply lines up to a specific point, typically the gas meter or shut off valve. The task of installation is usually taken on by the homeowner or professional dryer installer.
