"Jeff's crew repaired stucco and repainted the exterior and trim of my house last summer. Stucco repairs had to be re-done in some locations, but they were taken care of and have held up well. Trim & gutters were neatly painted, looks great. Were responsive to touch-ups requested wtihin a month or two. Have referred them to several homes in my neighborhood."

"My co-worker recommended JP Construction, and I'm so glad he did. They communicated well, were on time, and did great work. Windows were done in a day, siding and painting took a few more days, and everything went very smoothly. The end result was picture perfect. There was room in the contract for fixing rotten boards should they find them once they removed the siding. This allowed for what I knew would be some necessary repair work without running up the final cost. They even fixed a few rotting roof trim boards that my roofer (a different company) had said they'd fix but never did. JP Construction saw that there was an issue and took care of it. AND they fixed a gutter that had been hung incorrectly and was holding water. There was nothing in the contract about that, but they took the time to do it. That's pretty amazing customer service. My neighbor said that it looked like I had a whole new house when they were done. I suppose it would when you get new windows and siding, but that's also a commentary on the quality of work. I'd recommend JP Construction to anyone."

"Great presintation! They explain all about roofing, product, if there will be any extra cost wood, look in your attic for damages, 3d pictures of your roof how it will look like after it's been done. Added extra ventilation where needed. Clean up was great. I have Dish, they paid the cost to have Dish come back out. There was no surprises! They delivered product one day, next day they removed old wood and replaced with new and extra ventilation. It's just beautiful! They went beyond did extra safety steps for the customer. My roof looks great, beautiful and I can't stop looking at it. We have the roof for Idaho weather not California. The cost is high but you will have a nice product you will not have to worry about for a very very long time. I would recommend this company they are a top quality roofing company."

"Highly recommend. Fast response and fast resolution. We have had a couple of big rains since they removed an old vent pipe and patched my metal roof. The patch is solid and I've had no issues. It also looks great -- if you didn't know that there used to be a vent you could never tell."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Masonry screws are the best option to be used on stucco. They’re thicker and made to penetrate harder surfaces like concrete and cinder blocks. Fluted masonry screws work the best because they create a stronger grasp thanks to the lines on their shafts. If you’re working on exterior stucco, use galvanized screws to prevent corrosion.

Quikrete will set without mixing. The process of pouring dry concrete into your concrete form and then adding water is called dry pouring. While this method makes pouring concrete simpler and easier, it reduces its strength and durability. It can be a viable option for small, decorative concrete pavers for walkways or for setting fence posts, but it’s not ideal for pouring slabs that will bear any significant amount of weight.

DIY is possible for small cracks or patches. Professional services ensure proper texture and color matching.

Choosing between traditional and synthetic stucco depends on your specific needs, budget, and climate. Both options are durable, but synthetic stucco includes an extra layer that makes it more resistant to cracking and a better choice for climates with extreme weather. In hot, dry climates with less rainfall, traditional stucco is a suitable and more affordable option that is less likely to trap moisture. Synthetic stucco also offers more color options and requires less maintenance.

The Mediterranean style is unique in that it’s designed for homes in hotter climates and to maintain a connection with nature. The building materials include stucco siding, clay roofs, and interior tiling with tall ceilings and open floor plans. These all come together to keep the interior cool. The building materials are all natural and tend to have muted earth tones, and the architecture typically allows for easy, open access to the outdoors through large windows and arched doorways. The decor and architecture can range from simple and functional to opulent, depending on the type of Mediterranean home it is.
