"I recently completed a six-month project with NRG Remodeling, and I couldn't be more impressed! The renovation of my 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home, and kitchen went smoothly from start to finish. The communication was top-notch, and the team worked quickly and efficiently, all while maintaining very fair pricing. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and the entire experience was stress-free—much smoother than I anticipated. It's rare to find such a professional and personable team, and I’m already planning my next project with them. I would absolutely recommend them for any home renovation and will definitely turn to them for future work!"

"Wonderfully! The sellers had hired a cleaning service prior to our closing and they did an awful job so we were so disheartened when we saw our new home. I contacted Rafael and he found two lovely ladies who were able to come the following day, Anna and Katie, and they left our new home sparkling! We will definitely hire again and highly recommend! "Jesse, did a good job on the masonery work, but did not do what he said he was going to do on the recleaning of the patio when he was finished! Also took him two weeks to do a week job! Took off for Spring Break! I just think he should have told me ahead of time he was taking off for Spring Break! I was left for two weeks with my patio furniture and plants sitting in the yard."

"We had a complete master bathroom remodel done in March 2018. Hestia Home Services was very professional and did great work. We have nothing but great things to say about the staff. Brian, Reynaldo and Hannah were easy to work with and were always available when needed. We are very pleased with the results of our bathroom remodel and would recommend Hestia Home Services to others."

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

The best style of chimney cap for a brick chimney is one that fits tightly around the brick top of the chimney. The cap should have a screen to fully enclose it to keep animals out. The best materials include stainless steel, copper, or aluminum that fit tightly or are custom fabricated for a perfect fit on your chimney.

Running a gas fireplace costs approximately $0.35 per hour for natural gas and $0.62 per hour for propane, though these figures can vary significantly based on fuel prices in your area. On average, the annual cost to run a gas fireplace is between $400 and $640. The exact impact on your utility bill depends on several factors, including how often you use it, the size of the room you're heating, and the fireplace's BTU rating. Some models with a constantly running pilot light will consume a minimal amount of energy even when off, although many modern fireplaces do not require one. If you are looking for a more energy-efficient option, consider an electric fireplace.

A chimney liner is held in place by a top plate and attached top clamp, both of which should be included in most chimney liner kits. The top plate seals to the top of the chimney flue and attaches directly to the liner. This not only holds the liner in place but supports its weight in the chimney.

Gas, electric, and inductive. Technically speaking, inductive stoves also fall under the electric stove category. However, they use electromagnetic energy to turn the cookware itself into a heat source instead of heating the burner to heat the cookware. As a result, they ensure precise temperature control, which is often the biggest complaint from people switching from gas to electric.

Not all gas fireplaces need a chimney. If you install a ventless gas fireplace, it will release low levels of combustion byproducts back into your living space (instead of pushing them outside through a chimney or vent). Ventless fireplaces burn fuel efficiently, so the emissions are minimal—but they could bother people with allergies or respiratory issues.
